Dear Eugenia

I have separated from my husband after 14 years of marriage and I have been seeing another man for 15 months now. My ex was very jealous and controlling and his selfishness killed all the love I had for him. He was born on November 5 1955.

My present lover was a longtime acquaintance and we got together as my marriage was ending. He was born on September 26 1966.

I have always had a strong attraction to this man from the first time I saw him and my ex could see it somehow and it caused a lot of frictions in our marriage. Nothing ever happened between the other man and me until I became desperately unhappy and sought him in the last months of my marriage. He brought back laughter and joy into my life and I feel happy in his company. He is divorced and has a teenage daughter. We have a very discreet relationship for many reasons but now I wish we could take it to another level.

Firstly, kudos to you for having the strength and courage to move on and getting away from a controlling and unloving marriage and for thinking of your children first.

The comparison with your ex showed signs of both mental and physical abuse that you and your children shouldn't be subjected to. His possessive obsession at an emotional level is something he was born with and shows clearly in his chart. In short he needs professional help to overcome this problem however he is the personality type that probably would never agree to that sort of therapy.

Unfortunately according to your astrological comparison with him there is evidence that he has the potential to be emotionally deceptive with you. I do believe that you have some karma with this man however and that it is likely he has served his purpose. Your chart indicates that you are in a high cycle regarding love this year and that it is important for you to get out and meet new people, however if you are tied up too tightly with your Libra man you aren't likely to experiment with potential partners. I often visit your site and get advice...However, I have one question, hoping that you would help me to clarify. It's about my sign. I was born on Nov 22, 1982, at 10:11 pm. However, I'm not sure my horoscope sign is Scorpio or Sagittarius. In different magazines, some classify as Scorpio, some as Sagittarius. Thus, I'm checking both of them. Your sign is most definitely Sagittarius. Not only do you have your natal Sun placed in that sign you also have your natal Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Neptune in Sagittarius. Regarding your Scorpio influence you only have your natal Jupiter in that sign therefore you can safely say that you are a full fledge Sagittarius when someone asks. In order to figure out what sign a person is there birth time must be accurate. When born around the time that the Sun moves from one constellation to another only the time of day can determine whether that person will be born under one sign or the other, in your case there is no contest, it is definitely Sagittarius. The reason that it can be very confusing is that from year to year the Sun may move into the next constellation a day ahead or a day behind the set dates that are used in the daily horoscopes. When I started writing daily columns I would use the actual date in the paper that the Sun changed signs but many readers complained because as far as they were concerned the set dates were the only ones to consider. Unfortunately most people born on the cusp will never know for sure unless like yourself you have your chart calculated out to the exact time. Hi Eugenia

AAAARRGG! Not another relationship question?!

I've written a few times without receiving a reply but persist out of dire need. I'm at my wit's end about what to do.I am in the 20th year of marriage to a man I wonder if I ever truly loved. We have three children. Over the past 5 or 6 years, I feel I have changed a great deal. I no longer want the same things, nor am I happy to settle for a mediocre relationship "for the sake of the children". I know I should listen to my heart and question my mind but I feel like I've turned it over and over until I can't seem to decide. Am I destined to go through life biding my time or am I waiting for the time to be right? I sometimes feel like I don't know anything anymore and am just letting life drag me along. I understand your dilemma, however there are a lot of variables involved in your case. You didn't mention how old your children are, therefore it is hard to know what your responsibilities at this time are. Your comparison with your Libra husband is mediocre. I do believe that at one time you did have a passionate connection but that was long ago. I feel that you have both been very limiting for one another and that maybe the best thing to do is to discuss your options. Your husband does have his natal Sun squaring his natal Mars and this can cause him to have a temper if it falls in a certain area of his chart however without his time of birth I can't tell how this aspect will manifest itself. If he hasn't shown this trait I believe that you should be able to make some decisions as a couple that will allow you both greater freedom to come and go as you please or to actually get on with your lives. The children however should be your first concern, so whatever is best for them at this time is the bottom line.
