I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Many happy returns of the day. You do have transiting Jupiter moving through an area of your chart that deals with partnerships allowing greater possibilities when it comes to meeting someone special. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, early Sagittarius and Aquarius. You shouldn't have a problem getting a better job this year but at the same time it is apparent that you have to like what you do and that being the case you may be required to go back to school or take courses that will allow you to work in a field that you find more interesting. If you are going to go this route you will find it easier to do so beginning in the fall of this year.
It isn't a bad idea to make a move to a larger city where you are more apt to be able to find the type of course you may want to take being offered as well as better job opportunities when you finish. Over the past 4 years or so my life has been going in a downward spiral. I lost my father; my wife (through divorce) and I don't see my daughter. I lost my job as a software engineer. I know, like most, that you take the rough with the smooth in life. Now I'm at a stage where I feel completely lost and without direction. My finances have hit rock bottom. This is in stark contrast to about 12 years ago when life was almost great! Over recent years it seems that whatever I do just doesn't work. My question is will my life ever improve? Any help or guidance you can offer will be appreciated. I was born June 18, 1969 at 6 am.

Several planets have added to your down spiral the past eight years and although these transits in your chart aren't completely gone things do appear to be getting better. Part of the problem the past four years is that transiting Saturn has been passing through an area of your chart that can cause major depression and if your state of mind is bad because of this you will in turn attract negativity. This will lift off towards the end of the summer when you should start to feel some relief, but that doesn't mean that everything will turn around instantly. It will take work, effort and time on your part to make the difference. You appear to be lonely and this has also contributed to your depression. Trying to get involved with someone the past several years would have been difficult. With your natal Venus being adversely aspected by transiting Neptune sorrow within relationships was likely, not to mention the confusion you must have been experiencing. This is now lifting off and by the fall you will be in a much better position to meet someone who will be good for you and help to brighten your life. Until last January I had been in a yearlong relationship with a man who was born 1/16/66. Then out of the blue he stops calling or writing me. After two months of avoiding me, I made him admit that he had met a woman who slept with him on the second date. Needless to say I was devastated and fell into a depression that I had to seek treatment for. My question is, will I ever hear from this man again. We have never slept together and I suppose that was one of the reasons that the relationship didn't work. I didn't feel it was right to sleep with a man who wouldn't ever come down and pick me up at my home or invite me out with his friends. He went from having dinner and movies 2 or 3 times a week to him completely ignoring me.
How can I avoid this in the future? I was born on March 1, 1968 at 5:30 PM. What happened with him and his feelings for me?

You should hope that your Capricorn friend doesn't call again. The comparison really wasn't that great and you do have to question a man who won't come to your house to fetch you.
