According to your chart you are born under the sign Gemini if the time of birth is accurate set at 1 AM, however, if you were born at 10:31 AM or after on the 21st you are a Cancer by Sun Sign. Don't put too much onus on being one sign or the other. It is the entire package that makes you who you are and helps determine your direction. The time of birth is however very important as a chart changes every four minutes and for someone like me to be accurate I need specific data.

Your natal Mercury (the planet that deals with the way you think and communicate) is in the sign Cancer so that is why you are leaning toward that sign. Your chart also indicates that you have a very strong Leo and Virgo influence with a little Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius and Taurus thrown into the mix to make you the person you are.

For the record - if born before 10:31 AM you can call yourself a Gemini if after a Cancer.

I have dated. I have been engaged a few times but never married (I think I always took marriage too seriously -- and never could promise to do all that marriage entails). I had a loving relationship with a man who had a terminal illness, who died in '95. I have always kept the door open in my heart that I might find a life-long partner, but now I wonder: should I shut the door on this option? I'm not afraid of being alone. I am afraid of nurturing false hope in myself. I was born January 6, 1953, at 5:45 am.

You should never close the door on love, romance, marriage, partnership etc. One of the reasons why you have gone the route but never crossed the line when it came to marriage is due to having your natal Uranus in an area of your chart that deals with relationships opposite your Sun in an area of your chart that deals with your personal outlook. This has probably caused you or your partners throughout life to back away or have a change of heart at the last minute. With transiting Saturn moving into that area of your chart there has never been a better time to find love and get serious then now. Also with your Moon in the sign Virgo it isn't unusual for you to find love or get into a serious relationship during the second half of life. In your case you are moving into a high cycle regarding love right now and you should be out meeting new people. This particular transit can also bring someone from your past back into your life so perhaps if there is someone you still think about you should readdress this relationship. In the past the timing was probably wrong with this person. This is a great year for you creatively, educationally and where growth is concerned. You should be expanding your circle of friends, getting involved in discussions or courses that will alter your philosophy, attitude, lifestyle and outlook. You are going through changes and that is part of the reason you are feeling somewhat concerned or restless about finding love or backing away from it completely. Article: Time to Meditate

Dear Eugenia,

My long-term question is that electronic astrology programs mention that I have latent undiscovered psychic or spiritual abilities. My AstroAdvice Natal Analysis says, "You can use your psychic abilities to get ahead in the world" and rates it 90%. I heard a suggestion that meditation can awaken this ability which could improve my environment and let me help myself as well as others. My interest in this subject is mainly spiritual as I have strong interests in improving myself spiritually. In your opinion and from your experience, how may I do so?My medium term question is my choice of career. Would my choice of career affect psychic or spiritual development (above question)? I wish to pursue electrical engineering.

My short-term question is that on 13th July 2000 and 18th July 2000 I suffered two minor accidents, the latter being one involving a motor vehicle. Is the time right for me to be on the road driving a motor vehicle? I was born June 17, 1980, at 2:54 PM.

Your chart does indicate Psychic ability however it appears to be in an area that deals with your well being and investments. Regarding helping you in your professional pursuits I think you have a natural ability to excel. You should do well in your chosen field and although you will have to work hard over the next couple of years you should find that between 2002 and 2008 you will have all kinds of opportunities to get ahead. I do not believe that your professional obligations will stand in the way of your spiritual or psychic growth. You should find that you will begin to expand your awareness in psychic areas next summer and this will set your spiritual course for years to come. Just because someone does well in business or has a career that is analytical does not mean that he or she cannot reach as high a spiritual or psychic level. You may want to take an interest course next year that will help you develop your intuitive abilities even further. Concerning your accidents I feel it was due to transiting Mars conjunct your natal Mercury in a transportation area of your chart. This particular transit can also cause arguments with friends or relatives, problems while traveling or difficulties with teachers. Although it has moved on for the time being it is something that can occur from time to time.
