I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

My life has totally turned upside down the last 4-5 years; I hope that I am finally on the right course. I just landed a new job (was unemployed) for a while. A man that I thought cared about me totally up and left me (6/29/50) and I have kicked an alcohol addiction. I found out that nobody except one person was there for me. Am I on the right course now? I don't think I could handle any more setbacks; they have been too much for me? Why did Mr. Cancer leave? How does career/job prospects look for the future? Your advice would be most appreciated. You have been through a rough time for someone who has as much Libra in her chart as you do. Although you are probably overreacting a little this year I do believe that you can but the past behind you. Job prospects continue to look good so if you are looking to advance or to change from one position to another or upgrade to help you move up the professional ladder now is the perfect time to do so. Focus on your work and you will tabularize your life even more. Regarding love you are in a high cycle right now girl so get out and do things you enjoy or answer personal adds in your local financial newspaper or consider joining a dating service and you will meet Mr. Right. Dear Eugenia,
I need your advice. My girlfriend left me ten months ago and I have been trying my best since to recover. We were together for about two years. I have been trying to work for personal goals in order to better my life: counseling and I am in the process of applying to law school. I am unable to get over her. I have respected her wishes and left the situation alone but I keep hoping for a second chance. I am constantly plagues by self-doubt. Aside from the heartbreak, I am studying for law school and I am uncertain about what school will accept me and whether to stay in New York City because it constantly reminds me of the past. Am I waiting and hoping in vain for my ex-girlfriend. If you have any advice or insight into the relationship or school please help. Thank you.

You didn't mention your ex-girlfriend's date of birth so I can't run a comparison between the two of you or even tell you what she might be thinking but I can tell you that you have been going through a very depressing time with transiting Saturn crossing over your ascendant and this has probably accounted for some of the trouble you are having letting go. Although this transit is still plaguing you there are good things that it can be used for. Education, self-improvement and in general feeling better about you are just a few ways to use up the energy that Saturn brings with it. It is apparent that you are trying to do all of these things and so I feel confident that you will get through it. With your natal Venus in the sign Capricorn well aspected to both your natal Mars and Jupiter I can not imagine you remaining single once the Saturn transit passes as a matter of fact there is evidence that you will probably meet someone through a friend, work, school, while traveling or even over the internet so don't give up. I must tell you however that between now and the summer of next year I really feel that you are best to put your time and effort into your educational pursuits and leave the whole relationship thing until later next year when you will have a better handle on what you really want in a partner. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn. This is not the time to look back or to live in the past and although transiting Saturn can have a tendency to make you do just that it is important that you look forward and work toward your goals. I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life.
