For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia,
I'm a Pisces born on an Arian cusp on March 19, 1987 at 10:30pm. I'm facing several issues but they all tie in with one main thing, that being my life as a whole. I'm only eighteen years old but I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I exude no confidence, I lack friends because I'm incapable of trusting people to the fullest extent, I can't keep a job because none of them interest me whatsoever, I can't even manage to repeat my final year in school because I find it difficult to even get up in the morning. I don't know what's going on anymore, I never used to be like this, I had so many friends in the past, and even enjoyed high school at one point but I fail to find happiness in anything I do that doesn't require me being at home, alone, doing solitary things. My past lover and I broke up around five months ago, I thought my feelings for him were going away but lately my feelings for him have come back somewhat. He's a Capricorn born on January 14, 1988, I'm unsure of his birth time. As far as I can tell his interests are directed upon another female, who lives in a different state. Unfortunately I'm unsure of her birth date. A few nights ago I dreamt he died, and it scared me beyond belief. I woke up crying and even went as far as checking the obituaries in the morning. I still have some feeling that there may be a chance for us but I'm unsure. My dreams have been scaring me in general as well. I dream bizarre, disturbing things that make no sense and consequently awake me in the middle of the night feeling uneasy. I don't know if I'm dreaming these things because of my current outlook and feelings in life or not, but either way I just don't know what to expect or look forward to from life anymore. I crave to be happy, to be happy with someone, namely my ex, but I don't know what would happen in that situation. Is there any explanation for this ongoing distress or is it all just in my head?

You have been and are still going through some emotional deception that appears to be playing with your subconscious mind. This is due to transiting Neptune however it is all in the way you handle this transit as to how it manifests itself. In your case you are letting it take over result being bad dreams, lack of confidence, looking back instead of forward and so forth. It also has played havoc where educational pursuits are concerned making you confused as to what you want to do with your life in the future. You don't have a bad chart but you are letting a difficult transit take over and this has to stop. This transit can also be highly creative if put to proper use. Your chart indicates that you should be focusing on your future and that you should be socializing not hiding at home. Your Capricorn ex didn't match up to your chart very well and I have my doubts as to whether that relationship was really any good for you. It could be the reason you have lost your confidence and are feeling so depressed and reclusive. You are in a high cycle until the fall of this year regarding love and romance however this very same transit can also bring a past partner back into your life. I strongly suggest that you look for someone new instead of wasting your time trying to reunite with your Goat. You should be trying to finish your high school if possible between now and the fall by taking night courses or whatever it takes to get the credits you need. College or an apprenticeship should be your goal for the fall if possible or early next year. Your chart is favorable regarding getting out and meeting people and potential lovers. It is vital that you get involved in groups or activities that interest you so that you will meet someone with similar interests. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius.

Over the past 4 years or so my life has been going in a downward spiral. I lost my father; my wife (through divorce) and I don't see my daughter. I lost my job as a software engineer. I know, like most, that you take the rough with the smooth in life. Now I'm at a stage where I feel completely lost and without direction. My finances have hit rock bottom. This is in stark contrast to about 12 years ago when life was almost great! Over recent years it seems that whatever I do just doesn't work. My question is will my life ever improve? Any help or guidance you can offer will be appreciated. I was born June 18, 1969 at 6 am.

Several planets have added to your down spiral the past eight years and although these transits in your chart aren't completely gone things do appear to be getting better. Part of the problem the past four years is that transiting Saturn has been passing through an area of your chart that can cause major depression and if your state of mind is bad because of this you will in turn attract negativity. This will lift off towards the end of the summer when you should start to feel some relief, but that doesn't mean that everything will turn around instantly. It will take work, effort and time on your part to make the difference. You appear to be lonely and this has also contributed to your depression. Trying to get involved with someone the past several years would have been difficult. With your natal Venus being adversely aspected by transiting Neptune sorrow within relationships was likely, not to mention the confusion you must have been experiencing. This is now lifting off and by the fall you will be in a much better position to meet someone who will be good for you and help to brighten your life. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.

I have been a creative person all my life and have a career as a Graphic Artist, but over the past few years my mind began to flow over with ideas for film and television projects. I acted in a friend's short film and have been teaching myself the craft of writing stories for a few years now. I am torn because my identity has always been as a Graphic Artist, but I see myself as a writer. Do you see anything in my chart that would support my making a career change in the near future?

Yes I do see career change. It has actually been in your chart since the spring of 2003 and isn't about to move off until the end of this decade so get used to it. Your chart does indicate that you are highly creative and should work in a field that allows you to explore many different creative venues. In this day and age people change career direction more often and so you shouldn't be so worried about it. You can always fall back on graphic design or even keep working in that field while you delve into the performing arts and writing. My concern with writing is that although you do have your natal Mercury well aspected to your natal Pluto it does fall in an area of your chart that can sometimes make it difficult for you to get your work (writing) into the mainstream where it can be profitable for you. On the other hand you also have quite a build up of planets in an area of your chart that deals with communication and publishing so I believe that with a little extra effort and good timing you may be able to push your work into the hands of someone who can help you get ahead. You have been going through a transit that can help you with this the past couple of years and you did manage to work in the film and television industry during that time however that transit has moved on for now. Another transit similar will activate again in about four years but that doesn't mean you shouldn't start working in that direction now. After all the more prep work or writing you aspire to between now and that time the more polished your work will be as well as the more sellable when that transit moves into your chart. My suggestion to you is to continue your current work and do your writing on the side with your goal being to start trying to sell it in 2008/2009.
