We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

Hello Eugenia,
I love reading your letters on Sunday. I was wondering if you could give me some help. I was laid off my job 3 months ago, I have been putting my resume out there no answer yet. Will 2005 be a bad year again, I have no love life, no job, little money from EI. But I feel like there is going to be something good soon, or is it just me hoping. Please help me. Born 06 /26 /58 at 8:05 am.
Love your stuff.
Thanks

Hello Moon Child
Well yes indeed you have been going through a two and a half year downer due to transiting Saturn that is coming to an end mid summer. The past several months with Jupiter squaring your Sun sign as well it hasn't helped you out. Although things will be getting better as the year progresses it will still take a while to turn things around.
Your social and romantic life will pick up but I believe it will be closer to the fall of next year before you really settle into a good relationship. You match up to those born under the signs Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn.
Money should start coming to you a little easier throughout the summer months however it is apparent that it will be through an investment, winnings, rebate, settlement, insurance surrender or inheritance.
Regarding work, doors will begin to open during the second half of the year but I feel there is a learning curve that must take place in order for you to get a better position. Don't rule out taking a course that will help you jump into a different field or a better position in the one you are already in. Educational pursuits are strong right now and I believe that if you get into something immediately it won't be long before you will be in a much better situation professionally. Consider an apprenticeship as well.

Dear Eugenia,
First of all I would like to say thank you. Astro Advice has gotten me through some real bad times. Your insight into the problems in life based on sound scientific principles has helped me weather some real stormy situations, recently. Yet I still have some unanswered questions concerning my relationship. My wife was born on April 1954; I am not sure what time. I was born on March 8 1949, at 3:43 a.m. I know that we have some real problems understanding each other's philosophies some times, and that some times I don't understand how to be sensitive to her emotionally and vice versa. Why is this? She is a Taurus and I am a Pisces, shouldn't we get along a lot better. By the way we have been married 21 years, so all is not lost. What I want to know is, I mean can you tell me where our weak points are and can these problems be fixed or because she has her Saturn in Gemini and I have my Saturn in Virgo we can never get closer, doomed to live out our lives in this intolerable state of affairs. Please help me find an answer in astrological terms, because I am sort of disillusioned by the information that I find in the "ROMANCE COMPATABILITY" section of "ASTRO ADVICE". Almost everyday it tells me that I should seriously consider the why I am in this relationship. The "LOVE THERMOMETER" states that I love my wife 83% and she only loves me 72% please clarify. Thanks for your time and consideration.
Kindest Regards,
Concerned Husband
Dear Concerned Husband
Wish you thought to give me your wife's complete birth data. It's kind of hard to give you a well-rounded answer with only half the equation. Based on your chart however I can tell you this. You have been going through personal changes regarding love, partnerships, your home environment and your position in society. Now you might say, not really and that's where your wife's data would have helped me to clarify what is at the route of the problem. Often I find that when these types of transits are going through someone chart they don't always see things clearly. In other words, your wife may not be content and she may feel as if she is talking to a brick wall. Fact of the matter is that she may be the one who should be reevaluating the relationship if you haven't been giving her what she needs emotionally. In your case however, I doubt that is the case. I feel that the percentages that the love thermometer indicates the problem is probably more an issue that relates more to remembering the reason you and your wife fell in love with one another in the first place and trying to rekindle the flame that once burnt so passionately.

Dear Eugenia,
I think I lost my sense of humor and I can't seem to get it back. In the past, I was able to laugh, to joke and most of the time, make fun of friends in a humorous ways and have everybody laughing. But nowadays, I can hardly laugh myself. And it seems that I am too serious in my everyday conversation. A conversation of a humorous nature, my comments or answers can totally spoil the mood. If I try to make a funny remark, it seems very unnatural and tends to come out forced. Is this part of growing up or has my astrological nature got something to do with it. Or has it anything to do with my social life. For the past few years, my social life has gradually settled down to just 2 groups of friends, each about 10 members, and our gatherings over the years have gradually reduced to once a month or twice a month. Does it mean that my spending most of my time alone has killed the humorous side of me? Please help. I am born on the 29th of December 1976, time about 5 past 12 midnight (not too sure).
Humorless
Dear Humorless
You're being too hard on yourself. Yes you are growing up but that doesn't mean that you will lose your humor. Humor is usually determined by the placement of a person's natal Mercury. In your case you have your natal Mercury in the sign Capricorn well aspected to your natal Jupiter in Taurus. As you get older you will find different things in life humorous. Such as jokes that pertain to business, colleagues, big investment deals, money matters etc. You also have Libra rising and this will also give you a more sophisticated manner of joking as you mature. There is nothing wrong with that. You are not a silly little kid anymore but that doesn't mean that you can't use your intelligence and knowledge to crack a joke. You are still in a high cycle regarding higher education, travel and making new friends who have the same interests and beliefs that you have so start getting out and getting involved. You are also in a high cycle regarding love, romance and socializing so stop being so concerned about being funny and start thinking about getting romantically serious. There are many positive things for you to look forward to however if you are negative and down on yourself because you aren't the same as you were in your youth you will miss all the wonderful opportunities that can and will lead to the next phase of your life.
