Hello Moon Child

Well yes indeed you have been going through a two and a half year downer due to transiting Saturn that is coming to an end mid summer. The past several months with Jupiter squaring your Sun sign as well it hasn't helped you out. Although things will be getting better as the year progresses it will still take a while to turn things around.

Your social and romantic life will pick up but I believe it will be closer to the fall of next year before you really settle into a good relationship. You match up to those born under the signs Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn.

Money should start coming to you a little easier throughout the summer months however it is apparent that it will be through an investment, winnings, rebate, settlement, insurance surrender or inheritance.

Regarding work, doors will begin to open during the second half of the year but I feel there is a learning curve that must take place in order for you to get a better position. Don't rule out taking a course that will help you jump into a different field or a better position in the one you are already in. Educational pursuits are strong right now and I believe that if you get into something immediately it won't be long before you will be in a much better situation professionally. Consider an apprenticeship as well.

Article: Slim Pickings

Dear Eugenia,

I was in a very intense, 4-month relationship that ended Feb, 2000. I am a Taurus/Gemini cusp, born May 21, 1958 @ 3:20 a.m. and he was born Sept. 13, 1957. He ended it in a very callous fashion, i.e. a phone call informing me it was over with no prior discussion, no fight, no indication whatsoever that anything was wrong. Needless to say I was devastated, not to mention shocked and betrayed beyond belief. He was/is the only man I have ever loved as there wasn't a single thing about him that I didn't like and I have NEVER found that before or since.

Being single at age 42 is no picnic. Pickings are slim simply because of logistics and what is available usually involves problems with kids, ex-wives and whatever other baggage they are bound to be carrying. So I find myself feeling totally hopeless that I will never find someone I cared for like I did him. I have been to the beach and back and know full well how bad the odds are.

So, before I toss in all my chips and waste no further effort into trying to meet someone, I thought I'd ask you if and when you foresee me ever finding happiness.

Don't throw in the towel just yet. There are opportunities to meet potential partners this year but you must get out and join organizations you believe in. Dear Eugenia

I recently broke up with my boyfriend of five years. I broke up with him mainly because he was not doing much with his life and my waiting around for him caused me to lose interest (in all aspects). At the same time that I broke up with him a really close friend from the past (who had disappeared for five years) showed up out of the blue. Feelings that I had once felt for my friend have also appeared. I feel in my heart that I made the correct decision in leaving my boyfriend, but at times feel a doubt. Was my decision a mistake? Also, it seems that my friend and I picked up right where we left off five years ago. We share all the same qualities, interests and personality traits, topic starters, etc. My feelings for him grow stronger everyday, but I feel as if there is something he is not telling me. Should I question his motives or trust the things he tells me? What is his reason for coming back into my life after 5 years? Dear Leo

No you did not make a mistake regarding your ex. You simply don't match up well and nothing is going to change that. You have different values. You are more of a doer than he will ever be. He may be born under the sign Scorpio but his chart is definitely more Libra. He is willing to coast along and that is just the way he is and always will be.

On the other hand you don't match up any better to your old friend so I believe he is telling you what you want to hear and being who he thinks you want him to be. He falls in an area of your chart that deals with dead ends therefore not likely to go the distance. However if he helped you make your decision not to get back together with your ex he has filled his purpose so it's time for you to move on to bigger and better relationships.

This year you should be focusing on getting your life back on track. Securing your position and setting your finances in order - even considering purchasing a house if at all possible or at least making a move that is more conducive to saving or getting ahead financially.

You will be in a much better cycle regarding love as the year comes to a close and throughout the first half of next year. That doesn't mean you won't meet someone before that time but I suggest that you take your time, socialize and get to know potential partners better before getting involved in another intimate long term union.
