We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

The following are our 'Dear Eugenia' letters archive:
Hello Eugenia!
I'm a female Aquarian with a Sagittarius moon and Pisces ascendant. I'm wondering what to do with my life. I quit work last December because, while I was good at what I was doing, I wasn't happy. I'm wondering if I should push myself in a more creative direction, but money is tight. I'm actually terrified of what I think I want - my family and friends would not like it, also, I've grown accustomed to using hope as an excuse to look forward to the future: Maybe one day I'll be doing something I like and getting rewarded for it.
I think life would be much easier if we were born with little instruction books which told us our life expectancy, where to find our partners, how many children we might have - if any, what job we were designed for and a step-by-step breakdown of our destiny; maybe wanting instructions is laziness, but I'm exhausted from living. I probably think too much. I went for a reading recently and I was told that I need to take a break... but I am taking a break and it's not helping me figure anything out.
Any clues to what's eating me or where I should go, what I should do?
Aquarius
Hello Aquarius
You aren't the only Aquarius who is confused right now but nothing so serious that a little creativity and following your dreams can't fix. We were all born with what I like to call a road map of our lives. That is what an astrological chart is. You my friend were born with a splash chart and that makes you quite capable of doing many different things. You are coming into lots of changes over the next few years especially where vocation, studying and traveling to distant lands are concerned. Your chart indicates many creative interests in which entertaining is one of them. You are the one who holds yourself back - no one else. You must be true to yourself and pursue the type of career that will make you happy. If you read my work on a regular basis you have probably heard me say many times that the prerequisite to happiness is doing the right thing at the right time for you.
You are coming into your first Saturn return next year and this is what I refer to as the maturing time in a person's life. It is very common for you to be reevaluating your life and your future direction. This is a pivotal period, a time to size up what you have done with your life up until this point and what the possibilities are for the future. This is your decision - no one else's and you have to make the alterations that will please you the most. If you want to pursue something creative the next couple of years is the time to do so. Don't look back too long or you will waste the opportunity to follow your heart. Take the plunge and give yourself a chance to find your niche. The worst case scenario is not trying to achieve your dreams and looking back in fifteen years when you go through your second half-life Saturn and you say to yourself could of, should of would of. Don't fall victim to having regrets because you didn't take the initiative - just do it - the time is right.

Dear Eugenia,
Help! I need your advice. My life is a disaster, which actually is just a continuation of last year. My best childhood friend died suddenly from cancer in January. I have been out on disability since October of last year. My financial situation is dire. My employer made false accusations against me and has now stopped paying me. I know they have no intention of allowing me to return to work. I don't know how much more I can take.
I am a single mom and have to support my children, but I feel totally lost. Do you see anything positive occurring in my near future? Everywhere I turn for help or advice, I hit a brick wall. How much longer do I have to endure this gloomy situation? I'm usually a very lucky person. I don't understand what has happened during the past 10 months and I am at my wits end. I was born on 4/22/62 at 3:45am. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Lost in the Desert
Dear Lost in the Desert
Under normal circumstances the area of your chart that deals with work and money is not too bad however there are indications that you can change your position or direction quickly. During the past couple of years however your chart has been experiencing limitations, frustrations and obstacles regarding your job. Currently while you are still off on disability I believe that this is the perfect time to start a small home based business or you may want to pick up some new skills that will help you find a better position when you are ready to go back to work. You are suffering from some emotional depression due to your financial situation however that is passing and you should start to feel better by mid July. The most important thing is to keep moving in a positive direction that will lead to a higher earning bracket. You have a pretty good chart so get motivated and everything else will fall into place.

Dear Eugenia,
I really enjoy your column and find your replies eloquent and very interesting. I've written in before, and haven't gotten a response, so I figured I'd try again. I am in a strange situation right now. I've had an eating disorder for the past 3 years of my life, and just recently, got put into the hospital due to complications from the severity of it. I know what I'm doing is wrong, and I'm trying to change, but it seems like every attempt is half-hearted at best. I've read in several different books that individuals born on my DOB (March 9, 1985, @ 1:45AM) show a pattern of substance abuse and health problems. The year just seems to be getting worse and worse and I was wondering what my chart holds for the upcoming school year. I think I put up a front and have a difficult time letting others get close, in fear that I will somehow lose control of everything in my life. Will my life and relationships with others improve at all? Thank you for your time.
Pisces
Dear Pisces
You aren't a very strong Pisces only having your natal Sun in that sign. Your chart is predominantly Aries with your natal Mercury, Venus and Mars in that sign and Scorpio with your natal Saturn and Pluto in that sign. Your recent jaunt to the hospital does show up and it appears that if you don't use your Scorpio discipline to get back on track that you will end up in hospital again over the course of the next year. I urge you to take your health concerns seriously and stabilize your mental outlook before you start to worry about relationships. You have to learn to love yourself first. Your chart indicates that you have so much to work with but with your natal Neptune adversely aspecting your natal Mercury it is apparent that you are not always honest with yourself and this can lead to problems dealing with denial etc. However with your natal Mercury favorably positioned to your natal Jupiter it should help you to feel better about yourself. Problems with home, family or friends may occur if you don't take better care of yourself. It is obvious that you have people around you who care and who may be getting annoyed with the way you are handling your life. You are bright, creative and could help others with similar problems. You will probably be more attracted to people or partners who are older or younger and possibly at this stage of your life you aren't really meeting a wide enough variety of people. It is important for you to get focused and to keep active as well as to get your eating disorder sorted out once and for all. You are the master of your own destiny and no one else can make the adjustments for you. I believe that you have what it takes to change your life but the most difficult part is taking the first step. If you don't get started your educational pursuits will suffer over the course of the next couple of years, however if you can manage to pull things together you have the potential to do quite well. You should be meeting people over the next year that are good for you as well as those who can help you make the necessary life changes. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio and Pisces.
