For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I was born on the first day of Libra ? September 23, 1968 at 2:25 pm. I feel I have many characteristics of Libra, but I also feel that I have many characteristics of Virgo. Is it possible to know how much of each sign is predominant? My boyfriend, on his turn, was born on the last day of Virgo, September 22. Is it a good match as far as the stars are concerned? He seems to have commitment problems, what I do not see as typical of Virgo.

Virgo-Libra?

Without your boyfriends year of birth it is hard to say whether he is more Virgo or Libra. Also without having his accurate birth time he could be a Virgo or a Libra by Sun sign as well. The dates used in the newspaper are standard but certainly not exact. Some years the Sun will pass into the next constellation one day earlier or later which is something that most people don?t realize. In your case you were born at 0 degrees 44 minutes into the sign Libra and you also have the Moon, Venus and Mercury in that sign. On the other hand you have Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in the sign Virgo so yes you are right to feel very split between the two signs. With your Saturn in Aries, your Neptune in Scorpio and Aquarius rising the predominant influence will definitely be Libra followed by Virgo with Aquarius, Aries and Scorpio trailing behind. If your boyfriend has his planets situated primarily in Virgo and Leo you will match up better than if he has them situated in Virgo and Libra. Even as it stands with him being born on the 22nd of September his natal Sun will fall in your eighth house and that is not usually the best placement for a long term relationship unless the comparison is extremely high. I was hoping you could answer two questions regarding my natal chart.
First question:
I was born on the 26th of October, so I am told that means I was born on the cusp of Libra and Scorpio. Does that mean that I have qualities of both equally, or do I possess both Libra and Scorpio qualities, but since my birth date actually falls into Scorpio, am I Scorpio with Libra tendencies.
Second question:
My sun sign falls into the 12th house, but only 2 degrees from my first house. Should I read sun/12th house exclusively, combinations of sun/12/1 or since it is less than 10 degrees away, consider my sun/1st house exclusively.

Your birth time should include DST. If you haven't taken the hour off you should, making your time 6:20 AM. With that in mind you actually have Scorpio rising with your Sun, Mercury and Neptune in Scorpio in your 1st house and Libra in your 12th well hidden. However if you had taken the hour off, allowing for DST (therefore you were actually born at 8:20 AM) your Sun would be in your 12th house with Scorpio rising and both Mercury and Neptune in Scorpio still making the Scorpio influence the strongest. You would however read your Sun as being in the 12th and your rising sign Scorpio with your Mercury in the first in Scorpio and your Neptune in the first in Scorpio. No matter how you slice it your chart does not indicate much of a Libra influence however the sign Virgo is with your natal Venus, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto situated in that sign.

Hi, I was born in December 29, 1982 at 2:46am. He was born in October 29, 1978. I don't know his birth time. We both are well educated and know that we shouldn't be together. I know, from both an intellectual and ethnical point of view, we are not permitted to be together because we are cousins (his father is a brother of my father).
He also feels painful. Our romance started two years ago. I don't know what we should do now. I like astrology and read many books on this topic. I really want to know why I love him from an astrological perspective. Why he also has the same feelings like mine? I lived with his family at his home when I was a small girl, so we can get along very well. His family seems to have known something. I know I shouldn't, but.... Maybe you can give me some ideas.

Astrologically speaking the comparison is really more like that of a sister brother relationship and although I can see that you do get along well you both need to get on with your lives. In many ways you should be happy to have such a terrific friend. Keep in mind that lovers come and go but friends are there forever. You should build on your friendship because that in itself is a life long commitment. However, intimacy or getting together as boyfriend and girlfriend or man and wife should not even be considered. You will both be in a high cycle regarding love and romance later this year and for the first eight months of next year. You should both focus on other partners at that time. You match up well to those born under the sign Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.
