I was born on the first day of Libra ? September 23, 1968 at 2:25 pm. I feel I have many characteristics of Libra, but I also feel that I have many characteristics of Virgo. Is it possible to know how much of each sign is predominant? My boyfriend, on his turn, was born on the last day of Virgo, September 22. Is it a good match as far as the stars are concerned? He seems to have commitment problems, what I do not see as typical of Virgo.

Without your boyfriends year of birth it is hard to say whether he is more Virgo or Libra. Also without having his accurate birth time he could be a Virgo or a Libra by Sun sign as well. The dates used in the newspaper are standard but certainly not exact. Some years the Sun will pass into the next constellation one day earlier or later which is something that most people don?t realize. In your case you were born at 0 degrees 44 minutes into the sign Libra and you also have the Moon, Venus and Mercury in that sign. On the other hand you have Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in the sign Virgo so yes you are right to feel very split between the two signs. With your Saturn in Aries, your Neptune in Scorpio and Aquarius rising the predominant influence will definitely be Libra followed by Virgo with Aquarius, Aries and Scorpio trailing behind. If your boyfriend has his planets situated primarily in Virgo and Leo you will match up better than if he has them situated in Virgo and Libra. Even as it stands with him being born on the 22nd of September his natal Sun will fall in your eighth house and that is not usually the best placement for a long term relationship unless the comparison is extremely high. My husband has a drinking problem. He has been able to control this problem for the past 5-6 years. Recently he has begun drinking again and there is starting to be the same kind of mental abuse as he displayed in the past. I am at the age where I do not feel I can repeat and repeat this sort of abuse and lifestyle. Money is also becoming an issue as he continues to drink. He continues to threaten to leave and I am at the point where if not for my financial position, I would put the entire relationship behind me and move on alone. Is this a good idea?.......Please help, he is born July 10, 1951 at 6:30 a.m. and I April 25, 1944, at 10 a.m.

I believe that your husband will become worse before he becomes better. The next year and a half will be filled with all sorts of limitations for him regarding health, authority figures, dealing with institutions and so forth. I feel that the past couple of years you have taken the brunt of his obvious lack of control and abuse and now is the time to give him an ultimatum. Should he leave he will go down hill over the course of the next couple of years. Should he seek help it will take him the next couple of years to reform. As for you I feel that the time for change is fast approaching. That you should be seeking help from women's groups and co-dependent organizations in order to get back on your feet and away from him. Your comparison did indicate that there has been love in the past with this man but that was probably a long time ago. There is also sorrow especially where substance abuse is concerned and because of this I feel that even if he does seek help that there will always be the potential for him to slip over and over again. I do not believe that you will ever be able to fully put his abuse behind you and that your reason for staying with this man has more to do with fear of being alone and lack of funds. Your chart indicates that you are youthful and entertaining and that you will be okay if you can only get yourself out of this situation. By all means - if he wants to leave let him go.

I am writing to you right now because I am so sad and I do not know what to do. I am going to be 40 this year and never experienced unrequited love in my life until this past 2003. Like in Bridget Jones' Diary he came out of nowhere and allowed me to experience love in its purest form, he loved me for me. There was nothing sexual about our relationship, just 2 souls who seemed to be blessed by Heaven. He was my reflection as I was his.
He went away to med school and since November he seemed to have silenced all communication with me. After I played an April fool joke on him saying that I would be visiting, he sent me back a reply saying that he finds our relationship not rewarding anymore and does not ever expect to hear from me ever again. I have tried to email him to explain why because there is no closure and since this is the 3rd time someone has just walked out of my life with no reason, I am beginning to develop a complex that I am not worthy of love.
I had my palms read and the old man said that I would not experience any love, or if I did in my 30s, it would not work out.

The comparison isn't bad but it did show some sorrow coupled with the fact that your Capricorn friend has his Neptune conjunct his Venus and Mercury in the sign Sagittarius making him the one with a problem not you. You just happened to pick someone who isn't likely to commit to anyone - at least not until he is much older.
As for you another high cycle regarding love will be heading your way by the end of this year and throughout the first half of next year. You do best with people born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn. Yes, I know your friend is a Capricorn but in his case he isn't much of a Goat and is really strongly influenced by the signs Sagittarius, Gemini and Libra none of which do well when it comes to settling down.
