Hi Eugenia

I was born on the first day of Libra ? September 23, 1968 at 2:25 pm. I feel I have many characteristics of Libra, but I also feel that I have many characteristics of Virgo. Is it possible to know how much of each sign is predominant? My boyfriend, on his turn, was born on the last day of Virgo, September 22. Is it a good match as far as the stars are concerned? He seems to have commitment problems, what I do not see as typical of Virgo.

Without your boyfriends year of birth it is hard to say whether he is more Virgo or Libra. Also without having his accurate birth time he could be a Virgo or a Libra by Sun sign as well. The dates used in the newspaper are standard but certainly not exact. Some years the Sun will pass into the next constellation one day earlier or later which is something that most people don?t realize. In your case you were born at 0 degrees 44 minutes into the sign Libra and you also have the Moon, Venus and Mercury in that sign. On the other hand you have Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in the sign Virgo so yes you are right to feel very split between the two signs. With your Saturn in Aries, your Neptune in Scorpio and Aquarius rising the predominant influence will definitely be Libra followed by Virgo with Aquarius, Aries and Scorpio trailing behind. If your boyfriend has his planets situated primarily in Virgo and Leo you will match up better than if he has them situated in Virgo and Libra. Even as it stands with him being born on the 22nd of September his natal Sun will fall in your eighth house and that is not usually the best placement for a long term relationship unless the comparison is extremely high. Article: The Scorpion's Scar

Dear Eugenia,

I have known this boy which I will call J for about 2 years. I knew him from the time I accidentally knocked him down with my bicycle and sent him to the hospital. We have been dating since. However, everyone despises him because he has a scar on his forehead. My father (my mum's passed away) is sure that he was once a gangster and declared that he would not let me be with a gangster. The problem is, I know he is not a gangster and that he got the scar when he was 6 years old through an unfortunate incident but there is no way my father or anyone will change their views about him, despite the fact he's a polite and helpful man. However, I can tell you that honesty is the best policy and that you should sit down and talk to your father. Let him know how strongly you feel and how much it means to you that he make an effort to get to know your Scorpio friend better. Article: The Grass is Greener

Dear Eugenia,

Thank you in advance for responding and offering this wonderful website. My troubles for the past two years have been in regards to my partner. I am a Leo (11/08/76); he is a Libra (08/10/75). We met each other while quite young, and have managed to maintain a seven-year relationship through the worst of events. Since 2000 however, I have been drifting away from him, wanting more out of life and out of the relationship -things he does not believe he can deliver. I love him dearly, but I am confused as to whether or not this relationship has outlived its usefulness or if I am searching for qualities only found in a "dream-man"? The strain between us has become unbearable. My heart tells me one thing, my head says otherwise. What can be done?

Unfortunately I have to admit that you are in a brother sister type relationship right now and it is time to move on. You are feeling depressed and stressed about this because transiting Saturn is adversely aspecting your natal Venus and you know within your heart that it is time to move on. It is never easy to leave someone you care about but you can't stay for the wrong reasons either. Set him free. You are like birds of a feather but you both need someone different. Hopefully you will be able to put this behind you and save the friendship for that is what this union should have been all along.
