I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia,
I am at a very strange point in my life, which feels very chaotic--sometimes as though it is moving in a positive direction, and sometimes as though it is very stagnant.
I am entering my third year of university, studying art, art history, and German. I'm at a point at which I really need to figure out what it is I want to do long-term. I feel pressure from my family to make this decision (mainly on my mother's side, though my mother and I are almost entirely out-of-touch, as she is with her sister and parents). I also feel internal pressure, as though I may feel more confident and clear-headed if I can make a commitment and develop some sort of plan to pursue my education and career beyond this point. Basically, I am feeling directionless, confused, and as though I have no solid ground to fall back on. I worry a lot about my mother, but cannot stay in contact with her, as she is experiencing a time of sever financial difficulties and, as a result, has no phone line, disallowing contact by phone or email. (She was born August 11, 1950.) All I can say about my desires for the future is that I want to be involved in art --the only thing that is truly fulfilling for me. I would love to be a professional artist, but that is risky and I do not want to put myself into a situation of financial despair. I have seen both of my parents struggle throughout my entire life thus far.
In addition to these feelings, I am having a difficult time romantically. I have been seeing a man (born February 6th, 1977) for about 6 months. Though we connect very well intellectually, we are both very busy. I have a hectic work, school and homework schedule, while he is very social and constantly has plans to go out with friends, which he views as obligations. He therefore has little time to spend with me during the time I actually have free and is frustrated that I never want to go out and party with him and his friends. I think that, due to our different lifestyles, we may not be able to reconcile this, though I care for him very much and when we are together, he seems to feel the same way. My luck with men isn't too good and upon our initially getting together, I was excited to finally meet someone I could connect with, who was intelligent, observant, and who seemed to share so many interests.
Do you see any end to the constant stress, chaos and frustration resulting from my present life and relationships, as well as my attempting to sort out my future endeavors?
Please help! I am so confused and freaked-out by every aspect of my life right now!! I was born Oct. 22, 1981 at 1:45 PM.

You are a strong Libra. All your natal planets in that sign are in an area of your chart that deals with higher education, travel, philosophy, immigration and different cultures. That being said it isn't surprising that you are waffling about your future and your educational pursuits. I believe however that you must get on with it and finish whatever you have already begun. Your chart indicates that you should be in school or at least in a learning environment for the next two years although I do believe that you will be able to pick up work in the field of your choice beginning next year. This could lead to an apprenticeship, learning on the job or working and continuing your education. I believe that it is important to follow your dream however it is also necessary to support your addiction to your art/dream/etc. You are still young and have time. I want to get married now, but I cannot afford the expenses because I am deep in debt at the moment. I don't know when will I clear the debts so I dare not to get married. At present, I am working in an insurance company. I would like to change my job but cannot make up my mind. I am worried that I cannot get a suitable job and the salary would not be satisfactory. I would like to ask you when the right time for me to get married or to change jobs would be? What kind of job suits me? I am interested in information or the computer industry. Your chart indicates that although you do have some financial problems you should be able to clear your debt between now and March of next year if you are determined to do without everything but the bare necessities. You should be looking for a better job between now and the middle of February. Do not quit your current job until you have been hired to take on a better position. You would do well as a computer analyst, teacher, accountant, or medical researcher. You may need to pick up additional education in order to follow such careers however if this is the case you should do so through correspondence or night school. Regarding love you will be in a high cycle from November until March. It is important not to miss opportunities just because you don't think that you can afford the expense of a relationship. If you fall in love with someone the money shouldn't matter. If you have enough faith in your partner and in your relationship you will work together in order to build a brighter future. If you continue to hold off getting into a relationship or marriage until you feel that you have enough cash you may be alone the rest of your life. It is quite common for those born under your sign to feel that you must be well off before you step into matrimony and this is why so many Virgo's marry later in life. I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing but if someone comes into your life that you really love you may have to opt to forego your need to have riches first.

My story is very similar to the earlier soul mate story. I was told by astrologers/tarot readers that I would meet a man who will have a link with Mexico and Kingston. He would be dark with dark eyes and be a fantastic cook. I was also informed that I would meet him in my late 20's and it would be love at first sight across a crowded bar. This was not only one person that told me this but four in different locations within the UK. I set my heart on meeting this man and this was my destiny. One Thursday, I was asked to go out for a drink by some friends. I was not in the mood, however, I picked myself up and went out. I felt very intuitive that day and excited knowing something was going to happen. In the pub, I met up with many friends old and new. As I turned to walk towards the bar I could see out of the corner of my eye a man looking at me. I melted! Why me, I thought. He came over to me and looked into my eyes. I knew it was him before we had spoken to each other as immediately we had recognized each other. We sat and talked infatuated by each other for the rest of the evening. He then told me he was working in Kingston and had worked in the armed forces in Mexico for 3 years. Also, he wanted to cook for me! We started to see each other for which I can say this was the best time of my life. He was charming, fun and very exciting. After 2 months of seeing each other he told me that he had to work away and that he needed time. I was devastated, as I had set my heart on traveling with him around the world.Since our conversation, we never spoke again. I have seen him in different pubs and we still keep appearing in the same places at the same time. Maybe I am looking too deeply into this, but I would really appreciate a response to this letter as I feel I have poured my heart out and I am in desperate need for advice.
