I have dated. I have been engaged a few times but never married (I think I always took marriage too seriously -- and never could promise to do all that marriage entails). I had a loving relationship with a man who had a terminal illness, who died in '95. I have always kept the door open in my heart that I might find a life-long partner, but now I wonder: should I shut the door on this option? I'm not afraid of being alone. I am afraid of nurturing false hope in myself. I was born January 6, 1953, at 5:45 am.

You should never close the door on love, romance, marriage, partnership etc. One of the reasons why you have gone the route but never crossed the line when it came to marriage is due to having your natal Uranus in an area of your chart that deals with relationships opposite your Sun in an area of your chart that deals with your personal outlook. This has probably caused you or your partners throughout life to back away or have a change of heart at the last minute. With transiting Saturn moving into that area of your chart there has never been a better time to find love and get serious then now. Also with your Moon in the sign Virgo it isn't unusual for you to find love or get into a serious relationship during the second half of life. In your case you are moving into a high cycle regarding love right now and you should be out meeting new people. This particular transit can also bring someone from your past back into your life so perhaps if there is someone you still think about you should readdress this relationship. In the past the timing was probably wrong with this person. This is a great year for you creatively, educationally and where growth is concerned. You should be expanding your circle of friends, getting involved in discussions or courses that will alter your philosophy, attitude, lifestyle and outlook. You are going through changes and that is part of the reason you are feeling somewhat concerned or restless about finding love or backing away from it completely. I have been reading your advice for many years now and I need your help. I have been working at a job in relatively the same field now for over 20 yrs. I have many fears about leaving and going back to school to study because I don't feel it's the right thing. I keep thinking that I should be my own boss and start a sewing/designing company. I was born June 2,1963 @5:35am. My spouse was born Aug.8, 1962 @7:36pm. I feel he is there to support me most of the time but feel he's secretly jealous of anything I may accomplish beyond what I have so far. I really need to get some clear advise, I know if I have your astrological blessing in whatever I choose, I will succeed beyond my dreams. I was raised in a very strict household where boys were treated with more importance and the girls were expected to learn how to be good, quiet housewives, marry someone that would take care of them. I am not that person, but am still held back by my upbringing. I have so many self-doubts, and feel that I am too old or can't learn. I also don't have the finances to just leave my job and go to school. I just need some guidance. Please help me.

Your chart indicates that you should have signed up for higher education already. Favorable transits will be with you until next summer so if you need to pick up skills in order to pursue your dream get busy. See if you can get the courses you need at night school or through correspondence. That way you can keep your job and you won't feel the financial crunch. Starting your own business is not a bad idea during the last quarter of next year however keep in mind that it is important to support your addiction to whatever your art or dream might be so prepare to work double duty by continuing to hold down your day job while you build your own business on the side. I know this may appear to be overwhelming but that is how most successful people get ahead - by working overtime for a few years. In that way it will be less of a risk. The comparison with your husband is okay and certainly workable. I do not feel so much that he is jealous of your accomplishments but really feeling vulnerable that you may outgrow him if you keep moving up in the world. You must make sure that on top of the heavy workload that you are about to take on that you do not neglect him and that you make him feel as if he is a part of it. My suggestions may sound like a tall order but believe me they can be accomplished. I know first hand because I worked in an unrelated field for seven years as I built up my business. So please don't be daunted by my suggestions - instead embrace them.Your chart does show some problems with health so don't let yourself get rundown just because you are stretched to the limit you still have to eat, sleep and exercise in order to stay strong enough to follow and complete your goals.

I was in a 10 year long relationship with a man that I believe is the love of my life. Things were so easy for about the first year, after that they seemed to just be on a steady course of difficulty. I've never strayed from my dream of marriage and a family. He said he wanted all the same things and recently has changed his mind. He has done a 180 on me and we are now separated. We went through a similar thing a few years ago, but got back together after about four months apart. He was born on January 12, 1972 and I was born on June 23, 1969 at 11:00 pm. As far as signs go, I know that we are perfectly compatible. Can you tell me if I'm crazy for loving this man? Is this a temporary split while he works out whatever has him scared or is this permanent? I've been lost and confused trying to make sense of all of this... any help you can offer would be a great help in putting my mind and heart at ease.

The comparison was okay but not without some problems. Although your boyfriend was born under the sign Capricorn he does have three planets in the sign Sagittarius and this is usually an indication that even if he does decide to get married he will always be a bachelor at heart. He has his natal Venus in the sign Aquarius and this planet is going through a change of heart, confusion and as a result causing his 180-degree turn. His natal Venus is also at an adverse position to your natal Neptune and this usually causes sorrow within the relationship. In your case it shows up when it comes to changing your status in life that meaning marriage. I also believe that there could be some problems where friends and family are concerned that you may not even know about. Your chart indicates that you will be in a much better position regarding love, marriage and so forth towards the end of this year and through most of next. I wouldn't give him much more time to do a reversal. If he can't make up his mind by the fall let it go. As for you I believe that you should be focusing on career, getting out and meeting and making some new friends and moving on with your life. You actually match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.
