You should be working towards buying your first home now. Start saving your money and checking out some of the deals that builders are offering. It is apparent that between the summer of next year until the spring of 2004 you should be able to make a move in that direction but please don't wait until that time to start saving and looking. You may just find that your mortgage will be as cheap as your rent. You are in a high cycle regarding your work until mid to late August and it is important to consider making a professional move or ask for a promotion between now and then if you want to try to up your income. This is also the time to consider changing career direction if you aren't happy with your current position. Regarding marriage you have been going through a dry spell during your Saturn return and although you feel as if you should be settling down you still have plenty of time. You will be in a much better position regarding love in 2004. Now that doesn't mean that you won't meet someone before that time but that is when the relationship can become more serious in nature. Article: In my life

Dear Eugenia,

I really enjoy your column and find your replies eloquent and very interesting. I've written in before, and haven't gotten a response, so I figured I'd try again. I am in a strange situation right now. I've had an eating disorder for the past 3 years of my life, and just recently, got put into the hospital due to complications from the severity of it. I know what I'm doing is wrong, and I'm trying to change, but it seems like every attempt is half-hearted at best. I've read in several different books that individuals born on my DOB (March 9, 1985, @ 1:45AM) show a pattern of substance abuse and health problems. The year just seems to be getting worse and worse and I was wondering what my chart holds for the upcoming school year. I think I put up a front and have a difficult time letting others get close, in fear that I will somehow lose control of everything in my life. Will my life and relationships with others improve at all? Thank you for your time.

You aren't a very strong Pisces only having your natal Sun in that sign. Your chart is predominantly Aries with your natal Mercury, Venus and Mars in that sign and Scorpio with your natal Saturn and Pluto in that sign. Your recent jaunt to the hospital does show up and it appears that if you don't use your Scorpio discipline to get back on track that you will end up in hospital again over the course of the next year. I urge you to take your health concerns seriously and stabilize your mental outlook before you start to worry about relationships. You have to learn to love yourself first. Your chart indicates that you have so much to work with but with your natal Neptune adversely aspecting your natal Mercury it is apparent that you are not always honest with yourself and this can lead to problems dealing with denial etc. However with your natal Mercury favorably positioned to your natal Jupiter it should help you to feel better about yourself. Problems with home, family or friends may occur if you don't take better care of yourself. It is obvious that you have people around you who care and who may be getting annoyed with the way you are handling your life. You are bright, creative and could help others with similar problems. You will probably be more attracted to people or partners who are older or younger and possibly at this stage of your life you aren't really meeting a wide enough variety of people. It is important for you to get focused and to keep active as well as to get your eating disorder sorted out once and for all. I believe that you have what it takes to change your life but the most difficult part is taking the first step. If you don't get started your educational pursuits will suffer over the course of the next couple of years, however if you can manage to pull things together you have the potential to do quite well. Article: From Daddy's little Libra

Dear Eugenia:

I had watched your show about a woman with cancer making preparations for her family. You said her illness was not going to go into a remission that she needed to prepare.

I hope you may be able to better enable me and my family in the passing of my father.Recently he has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and it is terminal. Radiation has been given to him to help him in quality of life and to slow the inevitable. I fear he doesn't have long. His birth date is Feb 13 1936.I don't live close to my father and have financial struggles. I was able to fly out for a week. We shared happy memories and also said our good byes. He has just had a "step down" in his health and response to his pain medications. This happened while my brothers were here for a visit. They immediately flew back home (they live in the same city), to be with Dad. I too want to go to him, but I must time my visit and budget. I also have three small children, ages 10 months, 2 years and 6years. I need to make sure they are taken care of.

I guess my question is, when should I go...or how long does my Dad have? When should I go?

As I mentioned, I do need to know rather quickly as I don't think he has very long.

Dear Daddy's little Libra

It is the time you spend with him while he is still coherent that counts my dear so what are you waiting for. Once he's gone there is nothing you can do for him it will only be to comfort yourself and other family members. The quality time however is now while you can bring him joy by sharing fond memories and make him feel more comfortable by taking his mind off his deterioration. It is difficult to tell you when he might pass - only God has the answer to that question. According to his chart however the possibility of living another year and a half is present but it certainly would not be a great quality of life and for his sake and that of the family some of the transits he is experiencing between now and the end of the year could be enough to take him which would probably be a blessing. It is never easy to lose someone you love but having experienced that love and the obvious connection that the two of you had will allow him to live on through you. You matched up well with your Sun signs being at a precise trine to one another. Your chart indicates that you should be going to see him in August/September of this year. It will do you both a lot of good to have this time together. Without the rest of your families birth times it is hard for me to be more specific regarding his passing but it is apparent that the aftermath will hit you and your Cancer brother first and your Aries brother later on. Hold together as a family and take time to share the different memories that each one of you has with your dad so that you can all understand the dynamics of your family and your roots much better. With this your father will be remembered in a much deeper way by all of you.
