For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I'm a 21-year old gay male living in New Mexico. I have been addicted to substances (alcohol, etc.) since I was a teenager. I can't shake them and can't seem to imagine a life without them. They are getting in the way of possible love interests because if I had a partner, they would need to be patient with the substances. As it is, I cling to phone sex and pornography to continue the escapism. I'm not complaining about my life. I've learned to live with it. But is there something in my chart that would explain my problem? That's all I need to know right now. If you could be so kind as to maybe help me explore this, I would be eternally grateful. I believe that you are coming to a turning point in your life over the course of the next couple of years while transiting Saturn moves through the sign Gemini. The comparison with your Scorpio boyfriend was really quite good, however you can't force him to be with you if he doesn't want to be. He is going through a very confusing period right now and there is nothing that you can do to change that. The best thing for you to do is to back off and give him space. You will be in a high cycle next summer regarding love and having someone (possibly him) come back into your life. It is unfortunate when you match up so well that this has happened but it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Being apart may make him realize how much you mean to him. Keep in mind that human nature is to want what you can't have and if he feels that you aren't so readily available he may think twice about letting you go. If too much negativity has occurred between you however due to you trying to hang on to him he may not feel that he can ever reverse his decision. For now it's a waiting game. Your chart does show talent in an area that deals with radio, film and television, especially over the next few years. This is not the time to be sitting idle but instead a period that you must be willing to focus on your goals and prepare to do whatever is necessary in order to get ahead. You must not sit and think about it. Get yourself moving. You will do well in your educational pursuits as long as you focus on your goals. I also feel strongly that you should be signing up with an agent who can start you moving in the direction that you want to go. Hands on experience will turn out to be some of your best training. You are certainly suited to act, however you have other talents to discover and consider. Writing is also a strong possibility. Your communication skills look quite promising as well as prosperous. Your biggest draw back will be your inability to recognize what your greatest talents are. You will have to be far more critical when it comes to your talent if you ever expect to become an expert in the field of entertainment. Don't tell everyone how good you are. Be critical of yourself but be sure to keep your confidence level up. If you believe in yourself, I believe you can make it.
