I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I'm a 21-year old gay male living in New Mexico. I have been addicted to substances (alcohol, etc.) since I was a teenager. I can't shake them and can't seem to imagine a life without them. They are getting in the way of possible love interests because if I had a partner, they would need to be patient with the substances. As it is, I cling to phone sex and pornography to continue the escapism. I'm not complaining about my life. I've learned to live with it. But is there something in my chart that would explain my problem? That's all I need to know right now. If you could be so kind as to maybe help me explore this, I would be eternally grateful. I was born July 14, 1980, at 4 AM.

I believe that you are coming to a turning point in your life over the course of the next couple of years while transiting Saturn moves through the sign Gemini. I believe that you can turn things around if you want but I fear that you will have to hit rock bottom before that happens. I am in my early forties, 2 children, married for 19years. For some reason I am in a very reflective state. I reflect on my past and become very depressed, I never had any career success, although I worked very hard, never made much money, however I continued my education, but I never got a "break" I was always past over, finally in my early thirties I became ill with MS and had to go on long term disability. So that was the final blow. I have come to terms with my situation and have gotten involved with the local MS Society as a Board member. I still yearn for some little professional success. Why can't I let go of the past and just relax and enjoy my children, and happy marriage? Will these feelings lift? I was born October 12, 1959, at 10:42 am.

What you are doing right now with the MS Society is important and I feel certain that someone you recently met through this organization will help you find your way where your profession is concerned. It is never too late and you are never incapable of achieving as long as you have the desire. You have just experienced your second half-life Saturn and this is why you have been so reflective. It is a period in your life that makes you reevaluate what you've done up to this point in your life and in turn it should help you realize whatever changes are necessary in order to make your life better. Your chart indicates that you have the spunk and desire to achieve and I believe that there is something very significant that you need to do. It will be something that will make a difference to other people. It can have to do with communications, creativity or your desire to help those who are experiencing similar disabilities. It's your spark, enthusiasm and need to achieve that will inspire others. Perhaps writing a book about your inner thoughts dealing with MS. I was born in Boston, MA at 3:06am on March 6, 1975. My career is going no where. I keep running into dead ends. Every time I find a job I end up wanting to quit within 1-4 months. You can imagine what my resume looks like. I do try to commit, but always find the situation unbearable. Right now, I'm at 4 months and barely hanging on. I always want to quit because of office politics. I once heard someone say "don't be a part of office politics, but do be aware it." "mind your own business, and do your work." I have done both of these. And at every job I am constantly the "butt" of office gossip. I am aware that for me to be quiet and do my work will seem threatening to some. But why am I treated so meanly even if I am nice to everyone? I have had co-workers ruin my projects or take credit for my work. I have had plenty say negative untrue things about me and people actually believe them! Talking to managers doesn't work either. I've tried and have been put down by them or simply laughed at or ignored. I've even been fired for not being able to get along with a co-worker even though it was the co-worker who did all the "mean things". And at my current job, I am afraid this may happen again. I feel like I get the brunt of it more than anyone else. And I am sure I am not being paranoid or overly sensitive. I am professional and mature as possible and as I can be. So what's wrong with me? I am seeking therapy, however, what do you see in all this? Please tell me anything you can. Please help me. I am deeply worried, concerned, & afraid for my work/career situations. Your sensitivity regarding work and money is and has been a little out of control over the course of the past couple of years and although you are not quite over the hump as of yet relief is on the way. Your chart indicates that you should be working in a field that is a little unusual, that you need to be creative, nurturing and inventive. The area of your chart that deals with higher education is in a high cycle for the next few months and that means that an apprenticeship or picking up skills that could help you change your vocation may be the answer. You might want to consider starting your own business as well. You need to be doing something that you feel is going to give you something back at some point. Over the course of the past two years you also had transiting Neptune hitting your chart in such a way that it was causing deception, disillusionment and misunderstandings with colleagues and employers. Take three steps back and decide what it is you want to do and start to move in that direction. It's never to late to make a career change especially if it will lead to doing something that you can enjoy.
