For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I'm a 21-year old gay male living in New Mexico. I have been addicted to substances (alcohol, etc.) since I was a teenager. I can't shake them and can't seem to imagine a life without them. They are getting in the way of possible love interests because if I had a partner, they would need to be patient with the substances. As it is, I cling to phone sex and pornography to continue the escapism. I'm not complaining about my life. I've learned to live with it. But is there something in my chart that would explain my problem? That's all I need to know right now. If you could be so kind as to maybe help me explore this, I would be eternally grateful. You were born with your natal Neptune opposite your natal Venus across your sixth and twelfth. This is considered to be sorrowful, addictive, escapist and so forth. I believe that you are coming to a turning point in your life over the course of the next couple of years while transiting Saturn moves through the sign Gemini. This will cause some depression, some physical limitations and could even lead you to a rehab center or institutional type environment. I believe that you can turn things around if you want but I fear that you will have to hit rock bottom before that happens. Your chart indicates that you must be careful not to get involved with someone who is equally as addictive or someone who is already involved with another. What you should be focusing on the rest of this year and the first half of next is what you want to do with the rest of your life regarding your career. He was born March 9, 1978 at 6:40 A.M.

I have always liked to see the same sign relationships. I think that they can be very good however that is not always the case. In your case the comparison shows a lot of deception, disillusionment and sorrow so don't get too comfortable. Pregnancy also shows up so be very careful. Your boyfriends chart has a lot more Pisces in it, having his natal Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus along with his ascendant in that sign. You on the other hand have more planets in the sign Virgo (polar opposite to Pisces) having your natal Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in that sign and only the Sun and Mercury in Pisces. Every chart and each comparison is a different set up and although I believe that you will learn something from this relationship I do not necessarily feel that it will be the best or the longest lasting union that you encounter.

I have always read that a Taurus and a Leo is not a good match. I was born on May 11, around 2:00am 1976. My boyfriend of four years was born on 3 August 1976, I am not sure of the time. We are talking about getting married, but worry that the two of us are rather proud, stubborn people and will not be able to compromise.

You are both very proud and stubborn and I'm sure that you do butt heads every once in a while but the comparison itself denotes that you have enough that is favorable between your charts to make it work. No relationship is easy - they all take work, compromise and understanding regardless of the signs involved. Although Leo and Taurus is not the best Sun sign match you have enough Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius in your chart and he has enough Taurus, Virgo and Scorpio in his chart to make this relationship work. Your most difficult transits will be occurring over the next three years so if you can make it through this next period you should be able to make it through anything. Getting married and having a family etc. can be very stressful and with the type of transits you have headed your way I would say that this would be your adjustment period into matrimony. All you can do is try your best to form a future together based on what both of you have to offer, to be patient with one another especially over the next few years and to know that coming up will be the most difficult period of your relationship.
