For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I'm a 21-year old gay male living in New Mexico. I have been addicted to substances (alcohol, etc.) since I was a teenager. I can't shake them and can't seem to imagine a life without them. They are getting in the way of possible love interests because if I had a partner, they would need to be patient with the substances. As it is, I cling to phone sex and pornography to continue the escapism. I'm not complaining about my life. I've learned to live with it. But is there something in my chart that would explain my problem? That's all I need to know right now. If you could be so kind as to maybe help me explore this, I would be eternally grateful. I believe that you are coming to a turning point in your life over the course of the next couple of years while transiting Saturn moves through the sign Gemini. You are a Libra by Sun Sign but that is where the Libra ends. You have three planets, Mercury, Uranus and Pluto in the sign Virgo, both Venus and Mars in Leo, your Moon and Jupiter in Taurus, Saturn in Aquarius and Neptune in Scorpio. We are all made up of various planets in different signs so don?t put so many onuses on your Sun Sign. In your case your Libra Sun falls in an area that deals with your home environment and that means that you will deal with issues that have to do with home and family using the characteristics of that sign. But when it comes to the way you think and communicate Virgo rules. Regarding how you deal with money and how you can earn a living Leo is the sign that counts. Your personality will sometimes take on the sign Gemini because that is your Rising Sign. You are emotionally stable with your Moon in Taurus and with Jupiter there as well you do know what to do when opportunity arises. You have a creative side with your Neptune in Scorpio in your fifth but because it is poorly aspected to your natal Venus problems with love, children, getting your creative ideas off the ground and letting your money slip through your fingers can be your demise. I have recently become engaged and have a February wedding planned. My birth date is 4/24/47 and his is 11/13/46. We have a lot in common, enjoy each other's company, are sexually very compatible but my problem is he analyzes everything I say and do to the extreme and often becomes upset, broods for hours and I don't have a clue as to what's bothering him at the time. It's usually over something so insignificant that when we finally get around to discussing what's wrong, I'm amazed at the source of his distress. I seem to be ruled by my emotions and he is a very logical thinker. We both have very strong personalities that often conflict. When things are good, they're wonderful, but when they're bad, it is so stressful I wonder if it's worth continuing the relationship. I've often thought about canceling the wedding but the love I feel for this man is so strong (like no other I've ever experienced), that it makes me physically sick when I consider it. Your advice?

The comparison was excellent. The one problem that I can see is that one or both of you is not communicating openly and honestly about your feelings. This can easily be rectified by having open discussions. I believe that you are overreacting to this situation right now due to transiting Jupiter and that he is a little erratic because of it. Try to relax and enjoy what you have. If you don't feel that you can handle the situation consider going for counseling because this is truly too good a connection to throw away.
