I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I think I have too many burdens in my life. I'm a 20 yr old male. As I failed in all my exams and could not enter any college, all of my best friends left me. I didn't have many friends to begin with, but focused on developing a deep friendship with just one or two.However, they left me. You can imagine how depressed I am. Anyway, I was really quiet as if I was hiding in a cave for a year. And then, this year, 2001, I went to an art college but I found it difficult to make new friends while I was there. I couldn't find anyone who could share with me. Besides, I lost hope in music and in my ability to do well in the courses I was studying. I feel so depressed... I think things won't get better if I don't make changes to myself. However, it's hard to change and improve if I don't know where to start. Eugenia, please give me your advice. I was born August 30, 1981, at 5:30 AM.

I believe that part of your problem is that you are focusing on the wrong things right now. Your chart indicates that you should be in the work force learning on the job or through an apprenticeship. The area of your chart that deals with work and money looks quite good as does getting recognition for what you do. If your interest in music happens to lead to playing in a band or singing or something of that nature you may want to get a job and start to push your own musical talent during your off hours. You are in a high cycle over the course of the next couple of years regarding getting ahead and following your dreams, hopes and wishes. Although it is always good to get an education not everyone is a good student. That doesn't mean however that you can't do well and excel at something that you love to do. Regarding friends and lovers you have to be patient. Many of your friends have moved in a different direction but there is some opportunity around you regarding making new friends. The possibility of meeting someone special is also apparent however both friendships and emotional relationships appear to be made at or through work. I wrote in a few months back and (thankfully!) I got a reply from you suggesting that I take advantage of my high cycle regarding educational pursuits during from July till next year and I've done just that.
I've been offered a place in a teachers training college and will be doing a BSc (Education) from this July on for 4years. After which I'll have to fulfill another 4years bond teaching. Everything seems too good to be true and I'm all ready to take it but there's this nagging thought that I'm rushing into things. Is this chance of furthering my studies (and later a teaching career) a real break for me or it is just another illusion I've created for myself? I'm actually kind of lost. I've got tons of reasons why I should grab it (circumstances and financial support rendered if I take it up), but also tons of negative thoughts of 'What if's' popping up. My mind is basically a yo-yo between 'grab it' and 'leave it'.
What I'm really into is child psychology and I somehow feel that teaching being rather close to that subject, might be a good experience if ever I want to do a deg. on that area. Does my chart show that it's possible for me to do another deg. in psychology after this? Will I have another high cycle for education, 4yrs later?
Being a firm believer in astrology but having only limited knowledge of this art to do an accurate casting of my own fate, I really hope to hear from you again.

Take the opportunity and run. You have the planet Uranus in an area of your chart that deals with higher education and that is an indication that you will be a student of sorts throughout your life. What ifs are the very things that hold you back. It's time to forge ahead and learn all you can. Both teaching and child psychology are well suited to you and I do believe that you can and will do both. Stop pondering and get on with your life and your future. You will be in a high cycle regarding love and romance beginning in July. If you aren't already in a relationship keep an open mind and an open heart. I have been separated and divorced from my Capricorn ex-husband (January 12, 1953, 10:23 a.m.) for seven years. We have two daughters together, one nineteen (September 13, 11.22 a.m. living with him and one (Feb 10, 1985, 10:53 a.m.) living with me. It has been a difficult divorce and caused much pain for all of us. Not my idea. I have been on my own ever since. I have dated occasionally but never got past the first date. I recently gave up the house and moved into a small apartment so my daughter could be nearer her father and sister. She is much happier, has a boyfriend and I rarely see her. Two weeks ago I went to an English Country Dance and was approached by an older gentleman (January 1, 1934, 12:15 a.m.) who has been courting me ever since. He takes me dancing and for dinner. He is an ex drama and English teacher, and an actor. Teaching drama and English is the profession I have just completed training for, and I have a background in acting and film. He loves to travel as do I. He has been separated from his wife of 18 years for one year. My concern is that he is another Capricorn, and I am a Cancer (July 14, 1943, 6:05 p.m.) I have Saturn in Gemini opposition Moon in the seventh house and that means difficulty in relationships. I think I may get myself into trouble again in a relationship with another Capricorn. He is sweet and kind and generous and seems to like me a lot. I have been alone for seven years, putting my daughter and my education first. Is this a father thing? Does it have a chance? Should I just enjoy it for the time being and not expect anything? I am used to a younger man, but nobody that age is interested in a fifty-seven year old woman with a teenaged daughter. I look much younger. Should I accept this graciously, or keep looking. Do you see another major relationship for me, or just casual dating? Is this the one?

Your Capricorn friend only has his natal Sun in that sign. He has a strong Aquarius influence with his Mercury in the youthful playboy sign Sagittarius. Keep in mind as well that most Capricorn's are old when they are young and young when they are old. This is not an ordinary man and you do match up quite well to him. I feel that there is some deception in this relationship, however I believe that it is within you not him. You are coming into a high cycle regarding love and relationships in May and June of next year. Until that time I suggest you let this relationship develop and see how you feel at that time.
