This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia

I am having difficulties in my current relationship. My boyfriend of almost 2 years (we met on Sept.9th, 1999) is leaving for Europe in 6 days, to return in 3 months. He has cheated on me in the past. I believe it is possible that he has a major problem with emotional commitment.

I am positive that the love between us is very strong. I love that we have such a bond. On the other hand, I do not want to spend my life with a man who cannot remain faithful through thick and thin. When he cheated the first time he was very upset with me and we were almost breaking up. We stayed together, but he still puts the blame for his cheating partially on me. He has trouble taking responsibility in a relationship.

I would like your help in my quest to determine what I should do. How can I talk to this Man, and get his understanding? Will he ever be able to remain faithful?

I wanted so badly to go to Europe with him. Does his chart say anything about why he would part ways with me for such a long time, risking our stability, and leaving me terribly disappointed? Although the comparison is workable I do feel that elements that could lead to unfaithfulness are apparent. He has the Sagittarius mentality that leans toward freedom, being a bachelor at heart forever yet on the other hand he also shows the ability to be loyal and practical when he finds his true love. I believe that although you do match up quite nicely mentally and physically that emotionally deception is evident. Regarding his trip to Europe you must be joking. Sagittarius is the sign of the traveler. To expect him not to go would be putting the kind of restriction on him that would make him take flight. You are going to have to come to terms with giving him the space he needs if you plan on keeping him happy. He is prone to fooling around if he isn't happy or satisfied with the relationship he is in. As for you, you have a tendency to overreact and may have blown the situation out of proportion. I believe that you should play it cool, give him space if he needs it and consider taking a trip yourself this summer just to keep life interesting. After all it would be great if you both had wonderful experiences to share with one another at the end of the summer instead of you questioning what he was doing and with whom while he's away. I believe part of the way to hold a gentleman like your Saggi friend is to keep him guessing and continue to learn, experience and move forward in your own life in a positive and adventurous manner.

Article: A Stifling Scorpio

Dear Eugenia,

I am suffering from a relationship and I feel the pain deep in my heart. I beg you, help me and give me advice.I was born on March 7, 1961 -A Pisces. He was born in November 21, 1952, a Scorpio.

We have known each other for one year. I moved to his apartment two months ago. He is divorced and has two children. He quit his job four years ago after the divorce. He is conservative and closed. I always take the initiative to talk to him and comfort him. Until recently, I could not tolerate it any more. I am an energetic, fun loving and an open person. His unpredictable nature almost drives me crazy. He lacks security when it comes to women. He doesn't want me to participate in general business events and sometimes shouts at me because I want to attend these activities.

I think that he should go out and get a job because a job will help him to live a more balanced life both mentally and physically. This is also a way to get him out of his present situation. We love each other but are also hurting each other. I would like to know, is he to be my life-long partner? Will I meet someone who is more suitable to me? I believe that our Scorpio partner is quite controlling and that he is also going through a very uncertain period in his life. It appears that he is afraid of losing you and therefore he is not willing to let you take part in the events that you would like to enjoy. He does match up to you both mentally and physically however emotionally I have to question how good this relationship is for you. The major sign of sorrow is present and I believe that the problem does stem from the fact that he is not working or contributing as much as he should to the financial aspect of your relationship. If you can convince him to go back to work it may help however I believe that he may have other problems to overcome first. He is emotionally unstable and this makes it difficult for him to feel confident enough to move forward with his professional life. Your chart indicates that you should be getting out and doing things that you enjoy and if he doesn't want to join you or let you go that you may have to walk away. You are moving into a high cycle where love and romance is concerned and if you stay where you are you may miss the opportunities that are available to you. You match up well to those born under the sign Taurus, Cancer, Virgo and Pisces. The sign Scorpio falls in an area of your chart that deals with dead end projects therefore it isn't likely that he is to be your life long partner.

Article: On the Cusp

On the off chance that you'll respond I'm asking for advice. I was born 8/23/68 at 10:42 AM - how does being on the Leo/Virgo cusp affect my love life? I was married for 8 years to a Leo (8/18/63) and it ended recently by him being unfaithful. I am currently dating another Leo (7/28/71) with whom I get along great - except he is unable to make the sort of commitment I want and need. What draws me to these Leo men? I have dated other men who were Sagittarius and Libra and those didn't work out, either. My one true love was a Taurus (5/3/68) and I was the one who ended things with him, which, of course, I now regret (but that was years ago). Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

You may be born on the cusp but Virgo is by far the more influential sign in your chart. You are attracted to Leo's, Saggi's and Libra's because of where these signs are positioned in your chart. Unfortunately these placements contradict everything else pertaining to love and your sign Virgo. The Taurus did match up the best, no doubt about it. However he also had planets in an area of your chart that deals with dead issues, therefore it wasn't likely to be lasting. I suggest that you let go of the past and start anew. Consider dating men born under the signs Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. You will be in a much better position to meet someone worthwhile next year however that doesn't mean that you shouldn't get out and mingle before that time. You will have the best luck if you take interest courses, travel, join groups you believe in or those having the same philosophical approach to life as you do. Don't give up Virgo's often marry later in life and when they do it is because they waited for the right partner.
