Dear Eugenia

I am having difficulties in my current relationship. My boyfriend of almost 2 years (we met on Sept.9th, 1999) is leaving for Europe in 6 days, to return in 3 months. He has cheated on me in the past. I believe it is possible that he has a major problem with emotional commitment.

I am positive that the love between us is very strong. I love that we have such a bond. On the other hand, I do not want to spend my life with a man who cannot remain faithful through thick and thin. When he cheated the first time he was very upset with me and we were almost breaking up. We stayed together, but he still puts the blame for his cheating partially on me. He has trouble taking responsibility in a relationship.

I would like your help in my quest to determine what I should do. How can I talk to this Man, and get his understanding? Will he ever be able to remain faithful?

I wanted so badly to go to Europe with him. Does his chart say anything about why he would part ways with me for such a long time, risking our stability, and leaving me terribly disappointed? Although the comparison is workable I do feel that elements that could lead to unfaithfulness are apparent. He has the Sagittarius mentality that leans toward freedom, being a bachelor at heart forever yet on the other hand he also shows the ability to be loyal and practical when he finds his true love. I believe that although you do match up quite nicely mentally and physically that emotionally deception is evident. Regarding his trip to Europe you must be joking. Sagittarius is the sign of the traveler. To expect him not to go would be putting the kind of restriction on him that would make him take flight. You are going to have to come to terms with giving him the space he needs if you plan on keeping him happy. He is prone to fooling around if he isn't happy or satisfied with the relationship he is in. As for you, you have a tendency to overreact and may have blown the situation out of proportion. I believe that you should play it cool, give him space if he needs it and consider taking a trip yourself this summer just to keep life interesting. After all it would be great if you both had wonderful experiences to share with one another at the end of the summer instead of you questioning what he was doing and with whom while he's away. I believe part of the way to hold a gentleman like your Saggi friend is to keep him guessing and continue to learn, experience and move forward in your own life in a positive and adventurous manner.

I have written about five times now, I realize that you are very busy & I'm hoping this is my lucky day.I was born on the 19th of May 1943, at 1 am & do not know for sure what sign I am under. Also I have been separated from my Husband for about 7 years. He has another partner & is doing very well financially & with his new love (his birth date is June 3, 1943). You were born under the sign Taurus - there is no question about that but you also have a strong Gemini influence having your natal Mercury, Saturn and Uranus in that sign. The sign Cancer is also strongly placed in your chart with both your natal Venus and Jupiter situated in that sign, all that being said it probably leaves you a little bit confused. A chart is made up of many different facets your sun sign being a small but important part of the big picture. In your case the sign Taurus affects areas of your chart that deal with communication as well as your home environment. You are slowly but surely moving into a much better position where work and money are concerned but at the age you are at right now you will have to be very smart about the way you go at it. For the rest of this year and most of next you are in a high cycle regarding apprenticeships and learning new skills. It's hard to get into a position like that because of age discrimination these days so it will be important that you consider areas of work and learning that won't discriminate. Consider real estate or a product or service for the home, something that you can virtually be your own boss. If you pick up the skills or information you require now you will find yourself in a much better position this time next year. You don't have a bad chart you've just gone through some rough transits. Regarding your ex-husband, you do have a good comparison however even the best don't always last especially where Gemini males are concerned, in his case he as four planets in that sign. The past couple of years have probably not been the best for him either although he probably wouldn't share this with anyone. I feel his problems have probably been of an emotional as well as physical nature. I don't know how much contact you have with him but I believe that you should probably get in touch with him now. I think that you still have some unresolved issues and that he may be willing to help you out. Although your chart stills shows some depression and limitations financially that transit is lifting over the course of the next two months and I feel that you will be singing a different tune by the fall. I am currently on a complete roller coaster ride with a guy that I am dating and am not sure which way to go with it, ie, should I keep 'riding' in hopes of a commitment or walk away and not look back. My intentions weren't to get involved with a man 10 years younger than me but I absolutely adore him and care for him. I have friends who are happily married to men who were 'difficult' in the beginning and they are in complete bliss now. The comparison with your Cancer man was adequate but did show signs of sorrow in an area of your chart that deals with friends, family, work associates and communication. This can result in some deception and dishonesty about true feelings and what else is going on when he isn't with you. There are a lot of uncertainties that are going through your chart right now with regards to continuing this relationship. You are at a place in your life where you want to settle down. He is going through some major turmoil regarding taking that step. He was born with his natal Neptune opposite his natal Venus and that usually means that he can be a bit of a player, especially with his Venus being in the sign Gemini and his Neptune in Sagittarius. Without his time of birth I cannot tell you exactly how this will manifest itself in his chart but in yours I believe that he could eventually cheat. I usually like younger men older women relationships or the other way around, but in this case I do believe that you should not put up with anything that he dishes out and that you should keep your door open for a possible new love connection because your chart indicates that you are in a high cycle where meeting new partners or having someone you cared about from your past coming back into your life. If you are tied up with your Cancer friend you aren't likely to be in a position to move onto someone who will treat you better. Regarding your friends who are happily married to difficult men - you'd have to be a fly on the wall to really know how good or bad their relationships are. The grass always looks greener on the other side. You match up better to those born under the signs Aries, Leo, Libra and Aquarius.
