Dear Eugenia

I am having difficulties in my current relationship. My boyfriend of almost 2 years (we met on Sept.9th, 1999) is leaving for Europe in 6 days, to return in 3 months. He has cheated on me in the past. I believe it is possible that he has a major problem with emotional commitment.

I am positive that the love between us is very strong. I love that we have such a bond. On the other hand, I do not want to spend my life with a man who cannot remain faithful through thick and thin. When he cheated the first time he was very upset with me and we were almost breaking up. We stayed together, but he still puts the blame for his cheating partially on me. He has trouble taking responsibility in a relationship.

I would like your help in my quest to determine what I should do. How can I talk to this Man, and get his understanding? Will he ever be able to remain faithful?

Although the comparison is workable I do feel that elements that could lead to unfaithfulness are apparent. He has the Sagittarius mentality that leans toward freedom, being a bachelor at heart forever yet on the other hand he also shows the ability to be loyal and practical when he finds his true love. I believe that although you do match up quite nicely mentally and physically that emotionally deception is evident. Regarding his trip to Europe you must be joking. Sagittarius is the sign of the traveler. To expect him not to go would be putting the kind of restriction on him that would make him take flight. You are going to have to come to terms with giving him the space he needs if you plan on keeping him happy. He is prone to fooling around if he isn't happy or satisfied with the relationship he is in. As for you, you have a tendency to overreact and may have blown the situation out of proportion. I believe that you should play it cool, give him space if he needs it and consider taking a trip yourself this summer just to keep life interesting. After all it would be great if you both had wonderful experiences to share with one another at the end of the summer instead of you questioning what he was doing and with whom while he's away. I believe part of the way to hold a gentleman like your Saggi friend is to keep him guessing and continue to learn, experience and move forward in your own life in a positive and adventurous manner.

Article: An Astrological Contradiction

Please clarify why some astrologers claim Taurus and Scorpio are not compatible at all, while others will claim that this relationship will either be "all" good or "all bad. I am a Taurus born May 3 1948 at 12 AM and he is Scorpio. We are planning on living together soon. Being I love him dearly, I want us to have the happiness we were denied in our previous marriage to other partners and want to make this work for us. For some reason, I feel I will have to put more effort into this relationship than he will, and I don't mind as long as this union is permanent, honest, loving, and we can share our dreams and future together. Considering the fact that you did not submit your Scorpio's birth data I can't tell you much about your connection with one another and I suggest that you let the compatibility feature on my web site do that for you. I can however tell you that your chart indicates that you fall in love quickly and you do make mistakes where love is concerned. With what your chart is going through currently I would be cautious because you are extremely changeable right now. In other words you may not feel the same way two years from now therefore if it isn't important to get married I would suggest that you keep your finances and other important issues separate for the time being. At your age living together with the right legal documentation is probably your best bet. I can understand your attraction to the sign Scorpio with your natal Moon being in Pisces but your Venus is in Gemini conjunct your natal Uranus therefore I have to wonder if your Scorpio partner has any Sagittarius in his chart. Hi Eugenia!

Your site is great - so interesting. I thought the celebrity scopes were so insightful! I am asking mainly about creativity, career and money. I am pretty good at both creative writing and photography, but have never had the focus or confidence to follow through with either as a career - my parents and brother are all scientific based and I can still hear them say to just keep creativity as a hobby and get a real job. I have a degree, but having started work in the dead end world of retail, whilst trying to write a novel, this is now the only real experience I have. As a result I have no confidence in looking at a job that requires my qualifications as I imagine that the employer would wonder why I haven't been in this type of work for the ten years since I graduated! I am also concerned that even in the retail sector, where I do have the experience and thus the confidence, I shy away from applying for leader roles, or more interesting roles with higher wages!!!

I have been working on a book off and on for the last eight years, and although I have produced a considerable amount of quality work, it has turned into a nightmare project. It never seems to be good enough! Although a lot of friends have loved the writing and have urged me to finish it I have got to the point where I don't even know what it is about anymore. I have never sent anything off to a publisher. My creative writing teacher told me last year that my writing was breath-taking...still nothing. At the back of my mind I almost feel that the book has to contain the meaning of life or else it won't be worthwhile! aaaah!

Recently I put this project to one side and started thinking along totally different lines. I started plotting out a very lighthearted book and everything came together very well in the plan, but I found the actual writing hard to start. Am I on the right track with this? Does my chart indicate that I will never succeed!!!? Am I doomed to retail etc forever?

One last thing. My luck seems strongest with houses: I always find fantastic places to live in a very short time. I also move a lot. I was wondering if the creative stuff really is a non-starter, should I re-train in real estate? I was born December 7, 1970 at 9:30 PM.

Surprise surprise - I do not see you in retail that is for sure and don't know how you have survived in this position for so many years. I do however see you in several different areas, real estate being one, interior decorating another along with working for yourself out of your home in the creative field as well as teaching in order to help subsidize your bankbook while you get things off the ground.

It is unfortunate that both school counselors and parents stifle creative children to such a degree that they lack the confidence required to follow a dream. Fear of failure is embedded into children's brains at such a young age that it is a wonder we have any successful creative people on the planet at all.

If you don't follow your dream you will never find happiness. After all happiness is the prerequisite of doing what's right for you not to fulfill your parent's dreams. Do you have talent and the ability to be published - yes you do but not without the usual sacrifices and hard work required to pull it off. You should be sending your work out immediately as the area of your chart that deals with publishing is in a high cycle for the next couple of months. Yes the area of your chart that deals with publishing will periodically move through a high cycle throughout your life but as for the one you are currently experiencing it began at the end of last year and as you can see you only have a little time left to utilize it. You should have already sent work out. Stop procrastinating and at least send a synopsis of all the
