I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia,
Help! I need your advice. My life is a disaster, which actually is just a continuation of last year. My best childhood friend died suddenly from cancer in January. I have been out on disability since October of last year. My financial situation is dire. My employer made false accusations against me and has now stopped paying me. I know they have no intention of allowing me to return to work. I don't know how much more I can take.
I am a single mom and have to support my children, but I feel totally lost. Do you see anything positive occurring in my near future? Everywhere I turn for help or advice, I hit a brick wall. How much longer do I have to endure this gloomy situation? I'm usually a very lucky person. I don't understand what has happened during the past 10 months and I am at my wits end. I was born on 4/22/62 at 3:45am. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Under normal circumstances the area of your chart that deals with work and money is not too bad however there are indications that you can change your position or direction quickly. During the past couple of years however your chart has been experiencing limitations, frustrations and obstacles regarding your job. Currently while you are still off on disability I believe that this is the perfect time to start a small home based business or you may want to pick up some new skills that will help you find a better position when you are ready to go back to work. You are suffering from some emotional depression due to your financial situation however that is passing and you should start to feel better by mid July. The most important thing is to keep moving in a positive direction that will lead to a higher earning bracket. You have a pretty good chart so get motivated and everything else will fall into place.

I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

You are at the tail end of a very depressing and difficult period that has affected your personal life, relationship and yes even your connection to a lot of your friends and family. Although you may still feel the pangs over the course of the next eight to twelve months on the whole this excruciating time in your life is over and you should let it go and move on. Happiness is the prerequisite of doing the right thing at the right time for your self. Once you are ready to let go of the past everything else will fall into place. Be proud of your children and spend as much time as possible getting involved in the interests that your girls have. Love and romance are prominent in your chart over the course of the next year however only if you get out and meet people. Communications, joining conscientious groups and yes even going on blind dates set up by friends or relatives will be positive this year so don't back away. Someone from your past may make a comeback so don't hesitate to pick up the phone and find out what this person has been up to. Attend any reunions that will bring you in touch with people you used to enjoy spending time with. The future looks bright so put on a happy face. People always gravitate to individuals who are fun to be with rather than those wanting to talk about a dismal past.
