I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I've written to you before, and decided to try again for my question keeps coming back and I would love an explanation. I'm a Pisces (3/9/85, at 1:30 AM) and most of my friends and/or people I attract are fire or air signs. The thing is, most of these people come off as more sensitive than me! Being a Pisces, I thought I was supposed to be the compassionate, emotional type, but I don't feel that I'm that way at all. Can you tell me why I attract so many of the signs that I'm not supposed to get along with? Which signs am I best suited to? thanks for your time! :)

I would like an idea of how soon my troubles will last. On August 30, my husband was shot in an attempted mugging. He now has a bullet logged in his back. Fortunately, the bullet did not hit any vital organs, however it does rest less than an inch from his spine. Needless to say, it has caused much anxiety and stress. During his recovery, it was up to me to keep up on all household expenses. Doing everything on one income caused many bills to be put on hold. Hence, late charges, penalties etc. etc. And of course, more stress.
At the end of this month (October) I knew I would finally be "caught up" with all of those bills. My husband has recovered nicely (even though the bullet remains) and I was thanking the higher powers that all was soon to be well once again - until, two days ago, my oldest daughter informed me of a date rape that had also taken place on August 30. Due to the incident mentioned above, she didn't tell me immediately because she saw how the other things were affecting me (she and I are very close). Unfortunately, the rape has led to a pregnancy, soon to be terminated. She is only 15 years old. My doctor had to prescribe a sedative to keep me sane (something I have never, ever had to do before). It is stressing me to no end to think what she is about to go through, hence the sedative. My only question is, based on the position at the time of my birth August 20, 1968, at 3:00 PM can you please give me some idea of how much longer this "negative" cycle will last?

Your chart indicates stability between now and the end of April therefore you must pull yourself together and do what must be done. Being positive and supportive for your husband and daughter is required for a bit longer. The work and money area of your chart is moving into a favorable cycle. It is important for you to put your efforts there so that you can maintain a normal standard of living as well as keep your mind off some of the things that are stressing you out. I will make my request brief since you have been bombarded with much e-mail. I am a young woman approaching thirty and I require some advice as to which road to take concerning my future. As of September 2000, I will be completing my last year in an MA of Fine Arts. My focus is archaeology. I love the academic field, but I have acquired a student debt that I fear will be a continued burden if I pursue my PHD. I have been working part time and sometimes full time, for a retail store for the past five years. I know that I have an opportunity to be a manager when the position opens. This position will provide me with the financial resources to pay off my debts and acquire some financial security. I thought that if I chose this path, I could do my PHD later and be more confident and less worried and stressed. However, I have found that people usually lose touch with their academic endeavors once they leave school. I do not want this to happen. I would like to teach archaeology at the university level and have my own excavation, but I feel that I must secure my life before I pursue my dream. What is your advice?

I'm a big believer in following your dreams. It takes hard work and dedication but it is obvious that you have that ability. You should not stop working however I believe that you should continue your studies as well. If you have to take a year off I suggest that you do it over the course of the last quarter of this year and the first three of next. After that I feel that it will be important to continue your studies. You may be able to work out some arrangement with your place of work or if you look to the university for possible work it may put you in an ideal situation. You should also consider the possibility of doing your PHD through correspondence or night classes that will allow you to work as well. Nothing worthwhile comes easy. I remember working full time/studying/building my practice all at the same time and although it wasn't easy it was a memorable time for me. The sense of accomplishment that you will feel will make it well worth your while. Your chart indicates that you are a hard working, detailed individual who does belong in the school system. Teaching/studying and traveling are the three main features in your chart that stand out as being you're driving force. Your work and money areas are in a high cycle for the next few years as are your educational areas therefore I suggest that you tighten your belt and prepare to study/work and pay back your debt.
