Article: Working for Yourself

Dear Eugenia,

I was born in Taipei on 5th November 1973 between 1-3am. I am an engineer specialising in the research and development of programming, circuit design and etc. I have worked for two companies during the past five years. I am working for this company for one year. I feel that I am underpaid compared to the hard work I've contributed. When I have creative ideas or developed new products, my boss always tells me that they would be difficult to sell to the market.

I know some people through freelance jobs. Recently, A friend of mine plans to set up a new company and would like me to join him offering me a high salary. Although I would like to take the challenge, I am afraid that the new company is not established and not sure how long it will survive. If it does close down, then I have to start all over again. Your future looks bright. You have some wonderful ideas however to people like your current boss you are a little ahead of your time. You have a strong chart that indicates that you should be your own boss. Your friend that wants to start up his own business and hire you for big dollars should be considering making you a partner instead of an employee. You will eventually form your own business and probably take his clients with you if he doesn't offer you the right deal. Article: Moving On

Dear Eugenia,

I expect you won't be able to answer this letter, but the worst that can happen is silence. I was born September 20, 1973 @ 5:15 p.m. Three years ago, I lost my grandmother and then a year later, I lost my Mom. I started University, two months after my Mother passed away and I am afraid that my scholastic career has thus far been less than spectacular. Although, the long depression that I suffered through has dissipated somewhat I now realize that I may have dug a hole for myself so bad I will never be able to save myself from it. I am still somewhat confused about how I should proceed. Should I try to finish school now, while I am here or wander in the real world for a couple of years so I won't waste any more time?

I haven't had a serious relationship in quite some time. The thought of putting myself forward has been rather frightening. Is it a bad idea to even think about finding Mr. Right now?

I really don't know which is worse the depression or the confusion. Either way I feel so buried, I don't know which way is up or down.
