I didn't feel that the comparison was great. With the Neptune Venus opposition I feel that you will have problems with him regarding his social activities as well as his views regarding children. If you want to give him some time fine but you will be coming into a high cycle regarding love and relationships beginning at the end of the summer. These transits can also promote pregnancy, weight gain and being overly sensitive. I believe that if you are still with your Aries friend that you will not be happy and that you may find yourself moving into a situation that will lead to you taking care of more children, him being one of them. I went on a first date with a fellow two days ago and I'm finding myself head over heels for him. His birthday is Jan. 22, 1974. He is 27 now, so I think that birth year is correct. I was born May 21, 1979.
My question is, should I continue to see him and try to start a relationship with him or should I get out before I find myself hurt by him. I've been hurt so many times in the past that I just want to protect myself from the heartache again.
Everything I've read so far has said that we are a compatible couple but I'm concerned with the fact that I am on the cusp of Gemini and Taurus and he is on the cusp of Aquarius and Capricorn. The comparison was pretty good. Have you ever heard the saying that it is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all? You can't spare yourself hurt for that is the very essence that helps us grow and learn what it truly is that we want in a mate. To run away from someone that you would like to get to know better is not progressive, helpful or courageous. I'm not saying that this relationship will go the distance but I do feel that if you can learn from one another it is well worth the time and effort that you both put in. This man is bright, aloof and needs his space. He also shows traces of having a temper. He falls in an area of your chart that lends itself to having some fun together however you mustn't let him manipulate you. You must remain true to yourself and not become a yes person who does whatever he wants. This man needs a strong woman who can stand on her own two feet and contribute to the relationship intelligently and playfully. You could be up for an interesting period if you are ready to take on the challenges that he has to offer.

I (July 28, 1961 @7am) am still in love with my son's father (born, March 29 1970). We broke up once again and this time he said we were finished. We had been trying on and off for the past nine years, but we never could get past old hurts. I feel that we aren't finished, but I am trying to move on as he did. Currently he is in a relationship that he said he was going to make work. I hear it isn't working because he still has deep feelings for me, yet he won't talk to me. When we are together there is a current of electricity that passes between us. We both want to be together but are scared of rejection, etc. I believe we deserve another chance or is it just wishful thinking. Can we make this relationship work?

I do see the connection but I don't necessarily feel that it is a good one. You do have a strong pull toward one another but it is hurtful, damaging and I feel that it was strictly meant to be an affair, not a life long, live in connection. The sooner you both move on and put your differences aside your son will be able to benefit from both of you. As long as you continue this love/hate relationship your son will suffer. Your chart indicates that you are coming into a high cycle regarding love and romance. This can be a period where someone comes back into your life or a period that you meet someone entirely new. Please do not let this man back into your life during this period or you will miss the opportunity to meet someone who can be a good partner and stepfather. Unfortunately I fear that as soon as your ex discovers that you are moving on he will be back in your life big time and this will only result in further rejection. You may be willing to put up with more of the same on again off again relationship but ask yourself if it is fair to do this to your son.
