Dear Eugenia,

I am a Cancer, born 7/15/70 at 12:03 p.m. Currently I am having an affair with a Libra born 9/29/73. I do not know the time of his birth. Everything I have read states that I am not compatible with a Libra and that we should not be attracted to each other. If this is true how come the attraction to this Libra is so strong?

Astrological compatibility is often misinterpreted due to Sun Sign astrology. Although matching up Sun Signs can be fun it isn't accurate. In your case you have Libra rising with two planets in that sign and the Sign Aries in an area of your chart that deals with relationships making you compatible to both Libra and Aries. In the case of your Libra friend he has his Moon in Scorpio compatible to your Cancer Sun and natal Mars. His natal Venus is in Scorpio another water sign compatible to your Cancer Sun and Mars. I must caution however that the entire comparison isn't favorable. Like all relationships problems exist. Although I believe that you are both being honest with one another you are obviously having an affair and you aren't being honest with your other partners. You should back up and get your current relationships in order before you go any further.

Thank you in advance for responding and offering this wonderful website. My troubles for the past two years have been in regards to my partner. I am a Leo (11/08/76); he is a Libra (08/10/75). We met each other while quite young, and have managed to maintain a seven-year relationship through the worst of events. Since 2000 however, I have been drifting away from him, wanting more out of life and out of the relationship -things he does not believe he can deliver. I love him dearly, but I am confused as to whether or not this relationship has outlived its usefulness or if I am searching for qualities only found in a "dream-man"? Unfortunately I have to admit that you are in a brother sister type relationship right now and it is time to move on. You are feeling depressed and stressed about this because transiting Saturn is adversely aspecting your natal Venus and you know within your heart that it is time to move on. It is never easy to leave someone you care about but you can't stay for the wrong reasons either. Set him free. You are like birds of a feather but you both need someone different. I've just started on my first ever relationship. My past failures to court a girl were mainly due to the fact that I think too much. So, when I met this girl, I plunged straight in without giving second thoughts. But now, I found that we are not that compatible. I believe that the comparison is just adequate as there are some signs of sorrow. This particular girl is an Aries and that is the sign that falls in an area of your chart that deals with relationships so I understand why you were attracted to her.
