We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

Dear Eugenia,
I am a Cancer, born 7/15/70 at 12:03 p.m. Currently I am having an affair with a Libra born 9/29/73. I do not know the time of his birth. Everything I have read states that I am not compatible with a Libra and that we should not be attracted to each other. If this is true how come the attraction to this Libra is so strong?
Sincerely,
Curious Cancer
Dear Curious Cancer
Astrological compatibility is often misinterpreted due to Sun Sign astrology. Although matching up Sun Signs can be fun it isn't accurate. In your case you have Libra rising with two planets in that sign and the Sign Aries in an area of your chart that deals with relationships making you compatible to both Libra and Aries. In the case of your Libra friend he has his Moon in Scorpio compatible to your Cancer Sun and natal Mars. His natal Venus is in Scorpio another water sign compatible to your Cancer Sun and Mars. I must caution however that the entire comparison isn't favorable. Like all relationships problems exist. Although I believe that you are both being honest with one another you are obviously having an affair and you aren't being honest with your other partners. You should back up and get your current relationships in order before you go any further.

Dear Eugenia
I am having difficulties in my current relationship. My boyfriend of almost 2 years (we met on Sept.9th, 1999) is leaving for Europe in 6 days, to return in 3 months. He has cheated on me in the past. I believe it is possible that he has a major problem with emotional commitment.
I am positive that the love between us is very strong. I love that we have such a bond. On the other hand, I do not want to spend my life with a man who cannot remain faithful through thick and thin. When he cheated the first time he was very upset with me and we were almost breaking up. We stayed together, but he still puts the blame for his cheating partially on me. He has trouble taking responsibility in a relationship.
I would like your help in my quest to determine what I should do. How can I talk to this Man, and get his understanding? Will he ever be able to remain faithful?
I wanted so badly to go to Europe with him. Does his chart say anything about why he would part ways with me for such a long time, risking our stability, and leaving me terribly disappointed? Your response is very much appreciated! My birth data: March 5 1974, 7:16 AM. His birth data: December 22 1967, 4:56 AM
I love your web site!
Confused
Dear Confused
Although the comparison is workable I do feel that elements that could lead to unfaithfulness are apparent. He has the Sagittarius mentality that leans toward freedom, being a bachelor at heart forever yet on the other hand he also shows the ability to be loyal and practical when he finds his true love. I believe that although you do match up quite nicely mentally and physically that emotionally deception is evident. Regarding his trip to Europe you must be joking. Sagittarius is the sign of the traveler. To expect him not to go would be putting the kind of restriction on him that would make him take flight. You are going to have to come to terms with giving him the space he needs if you plan on keeping him happy. He is prone to fooling around if he isn't happy or satisfied with the relationship he is in. As for you, you have a tendency to overreact and may have blown the situation out of proportion. I believe that you should play it cool, give him space if he needs it and consider taking a trip yourself this summer just to keep life interesting. After all it would be great if you both had wonderful experiences to share with one another at the end of the summer instead of you questioning what he was doing and with whom while he's away. I believe part of the way to hold a gentleman like your Saggi friend is to keep him guessing and continue to learn, experience and move forward in your own life in a positive and adventurous manner.

Dear Eugenia,
Many years ago I consulted an astrologer about my chances of marrying happily, and he replied, "Do you really want to know?" He seemed so evasive and reluctant that I didn't push it. A year or two later I met my husband (9/17/53) and we have been together for nearly fifteen years. I have since learned a little about astrology and decided that the reason the astrologer was so reticent is that I have Neptune in Scorpio in the seventh house. I think this has manifested mostly in my husband's struggles with alcohol; about three years ago he finally made a major effort and got his drinking under control. Unfortunately at the same time-- I wonder if it was the catalyst-- I reconnected with an old friend (11/11/61) who is in the same line of creative work I am. Although this relationship upset my husband I did not give it up. I realize that this person is a friend and not a suitable candidate for husband/father (we have three children) but I cannot convince my husband that is the case, even though I have been faithful to him and the other relationship is somewhat tenuous. Is it that my husband is being super controlling or am I not being honest? If I give up my friend will my husband go back to drinking? The astrology books are not very reassuring on the Neptune in the seventh house thing, so I wonder if I am stuck with relationship weirdness no matter what, or if I would just be better off being a nun. My birthday is 4/4/65, at 6 AM.
Thank you--
"Doomed by Neptune"
Dear "Doomed by Neptune"
First of all your Neptune may be in your seventh house but it is well aspected to your natal Saturn and Pluto and yes it does oppose your Moon and Jupiter as well but don't lose sight of the fact that the Moon is well aspsected to both Saturn and Pluto as well. This should give you an overall positive skew on your relationship capability. Now you are right regarding partners being of an escapist nature but that doesn't mean that you can't have a successful relationship and that your current partner can't pull his act together. This set up can be highly creative sexually if that's where the energy is put and obviously you and your husband did just that, the result being your three children. With your Neptune Jupiter opposition and of course Jupiter being in your first house you can tend to overreact a bit and may not be totally honest with yourself or your partner at an emotional level. I feel that your past acquaintance is really not the issue as you do not match up to him well. As a matter of fact it is more like a sister brother connection and a strained one at that. Your Scorpio friend falls in an area of your chart that deals with dead end projects. As for your husband your comparison was okay but sorrow does prevail especially with regard to his drinking problem. With his natal Neptune in an adverse position to his natal Uranus I believe that he could fall off the wagon from time to time. However, it probably won't be the result of your friendship with your Scorpio friend. Your Scorpio however should only be someone that you deal with as a direct result of work and nothing more. If you want your marriage to work you and your husband will have to work together in order to keep his problem under control. If he can't handle it and continually gets inebriated you will have to make a decision based on what's best for you and your children. Your husband falls in an area of your chart that deals with children and partying and that is probably how things started out some 15 years ago however times have changed and he's going to have to pull up his socks or expect to lose his family.
