First of all thank you for this beautiful site, I'm an astrology lover and for this reason I would like to get your opinion on my birth chart: I know I'm quite flamboyant and rough at times but I'm also a good ballet teacher full of sensitivity: I read that a person has no choice in life and no chances when the sun is in the 12th house and Saturn in the seventh: Is this also your opinion and can you tell me something more about me to help me understand myself a little better than I do?

There is so much more to consider. In your birth chart you do have your natal Sun and Mercury in the twelfth house but both are well aspected to your natal Jupiter in Gemini and your natal Mars in Libra. Mars being in your third house also relates to teaching. Your Saturn being in the seventh can make it difficult to find a suitable relationship or partnership however in your case your natal Neptune is in Scorpio favorably aspected to your natal Saturn. This can be highly creative. Your chart shows great potential with your natal Jupiter being in your tenth house (limelight house). You do have your natal Venus in Virgo poorly positioned to your natal Jupiter in your tenth and this can result in not having the physical attributes needed to do what you want. You could however be a great choreographer if you decided to move in that direction. Most of all you have to realize that although these planetary placements can cause some obstacles it does not mean that you have no chance to achieve your goals throughout life.

Article: Family Problem

Dear Eugenia,

I am writing to you about a family problem. My sister and I are the primary caretakers of our mother. My mother is disabled and has a variety of health problems. Her birthday is 8/30/1941 @ 4:30 p.m.

My problem is that ever since I was a young child we have had severe disagreements, fighting, etc. My birthday is 8/5/1975 @ 11:30 p.m. I try to be patient and understanding but our bad feelings have just grown worse with time. The pain and hurt is just getting to be too much. Please give me some advice on how I can deal with her more effectively and what I should keep in mind to have any kind of good relationship at all.

Although there is a small problem that shows up in your comparison that deals with honest communication regarding the way you both feel the overall picture doesn't appear to be that horrid. Yes you can argue and yes you are very different from one another but that doesn't mean that you can't get along. Your mother needs a bit of a wakeup call. She is a very strong Virgo and I believe that she can be a perfectionist. If that is the case nothing you ever do will be good enough or right. You must sit her down and tell her that you cannot live with or under those conditions. That you are trying to help her and if she won't allow you the decency to carry on as you please that you and your sister will have to find someone else to take care of her. Your mother is going through a very debilitating period over the course of the next two years and I believe that she is severely depressed. She recently experienced her second Saturn return and I believe that she has reevaluated her life and has decided that she isn't too happy with the way it unfolded. The fact that she is lashing out at you because of her own regrets is a shame but she is your mother and what she needs is honesty, love and to be put in her place.

Article: Getting Better

I think I have too many burdens in my life. I'm a 20 yr old male. As I failed in all my exams and could not enter any college, all of my best friends left me. I didn't have many friends to begin with, but focused on developing a deep friendship with just one or two.However, they left me. You can imagine how depressed I am. Anyway, I was really quiet as if I was hiding in a cave for a year. And then, this year, 2001, I went to an art college but I found it difficult to make new friends while I was there. I couldn't find anyone who could share with me. Besides, I lost hope in music and in my ability to do well in the courses I was studying. I feel so depressed... I think things won't get better if I don't make changes to myself. However, it's hard to change and improve if I don't know where to start. Eugenia, please give me your advice. I was born August 30, 1981, at 5:30 AM.

I believe that part of your problem is that you are focusing on the wrong things right now. Your chart indicates that you should be in the work force learning on the job or through an apprenticeship. The area of your chart that deals with work and money looks quite good as does getting recognition for what you do. If your interest in music happens to lead to playing in a band or singing or something of that nature you may want to get a job and start to push your own musical talent during your off hours. You are in a high cycle over the course of the next couple of years regarding getting ahead and following your dreams, hopes and wishes. Although it is always good to get an education not everyone is a good student. That doesn't mean however that you can't do well and excel at something that you love to do. Regarding friends and lovers you have to be patient. Many of your friends have moved in a different direction but there is some opportunity around you regarding making new friends. The possibility of meeting someone special is also apparent however both friendships and emotional relationships appear to be made at or through work.
