Dear Eugenia,

I was born on October 25, 1962 at 1:20 p.m. and I am writing you to see if you can help me. I have had a pretty rough life, and decided three years ago that I would do what I have always wanted and that is to be an actress. I have since been on television and film sets and have seen numerous people that others would love to see, and have actually met a few and had conversations with them. That is all fine and grand, but I have had a job offer from a Model Management company and am now the regional manager for them. What I want to know is am I ever going to get a speaking part for television or film and make it as a working actress. I really want to make this life time dream come true. I am starting college in January to get a degree in Dramatic Arts. You didn't submit your wife or children's birth information making it difficult for me to know what she will do. What I can tell you is that your financial limitations are still present between now and the summer of next year however after that time it is evident that you should be able to swing whatever settlement or agreement you make with her. I believe there is a law that does not allow one parent to take the children more than X amount of miles away from the other parent if you have joint custody however this may change from state to state. Your chart indicates that you should be focusing on your professional goals and that if you are diligent about getting ahead you can be successful over the next four years. I do believe that your wife will try to restrict your visitation rights between now and the end of the summer of next year. You must fight this and do whatever is necessary to be as much a part of your children's lives as you can. If you live close to one another it isn't uncommon these days to have the children with you half the time and with her the other half. In that case you should not have to pay support because you are both equally raising your children. There are many routes to take however if she has left you because of infidelity or other damaging or cruel reasons you will end up paying dearly so get working towards professional advancement now so that you can cover the costs.
