Hi, it is an honor to write to you. I receive hope from your site when I'm in need of help. The reason I am writing to you Eugenia is that this year, a lot of bad things have happened to me... My best friend committed suicide and I am having difficulty getting over the shock. This was only 3 months ago...My mind is so dizzy. I need to forget everything and face the reality but I don't know whether I'm too weak.
I love a guy. I have known him since I was young. We were friends in the beginning and became lovers later. There is a misunderstanding between him and me. As a result, he left me. I went on a first date with a fellow two days ago and I'm finding myself head over heels for him. His birthday is Jan. 22, 1974. He is 27 now, so I think that birth year is correct. I was born May 21, 1979.
My question is, should I continue to see him and try to start a relationship with him or should I get out before I find myself hurt by him. I've been hurt so many times in the past that I just want to protect myself from the heartache again.
Everything I've read so far has said that we are a compatible couple but I'm concerned with the fact that I am on the cusp of Gemini and Taurus and he is on the cusp of Aquarius and Capricorn. The comparison was pretty good. Have you ever heard the saying that it is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all? You can't spare yourself hurt for that is the very essence that helps us grow and learn what it truly is that we want in a mate. To run away from someone that you would like to get to know better is not progressive, helpful or courageous. I'm not saying that this relationship will go the distance but I do feel that if you can learn from one another it is well worth the time and effort that you both put in. This man is bright, aloof and needs his space. He also shows traces of having a temper. He falls in an area of your chart that lends itself to having some fun together however you mustn't let him manipulate you. You must remain true to yourself and not become a yes person who does whatever he wants. This man needs a strong woman who can stand on her own two feet and contribute to the relationship intelligently and playfully. A few months ago, I could not get an ex-boy fiend out of my mind. It was his 30th Birthday coming up and I just could not stop thinking about him! I took it upon myself to write a letter to him just to say hello, as we had not spoken in over 5 years since I moved back home to Australia. I didn't know where he was (he lives in the US) so I sent the letter to his parent's address, which they forwarded to him. In the letter I said not to feel obligated to write back if he didn't want to etc. I knew he was married and wanted to respect that. He was the love of my life, the one that I still compare everyone else to. He was such an important influence on who I am.Two days ago, I received an email back from him. He was amazed and very happy to hear from me. He is divorced now, living with a new girlfriend in another state. We have sent a few e-mails back and forth over the past few days and I am stunned that we still know exactly what to say to make the other laugh and connect! We were the best of friends and I was equally as devastated when we split up for losing a lover and best friend.
My point is, have we come back into communication with each other for a reason? I always thought of him as my soul mate and have often said that if we had met in our late 20's, we would have been together for life. I am now 29. I am sure I am reading too much into it. Or am I? If not, it is really nice to be in touch again. What's happening here???
