For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Hi, it is an honor to write to you. I receive hope from your site when I'm in need of help. The reason I am writing to you Eugenia is that this year, a lot of bad things have happened to me... My best friend committed suicide and I am having difficulty getting over the shock. This was only 3 months ago...My mind is so dizzy. I need to forget everything and face the reality but I don't know whether I'm too weak.
I love a guy. I have known him since I was young. We were friends in the beginning and became lovers later. There is a misunderstanding between him and me. As a result, he left me. I need to forget him but it is not easy to do so. Every day is a long day full of pains. Eugenia, Can you give me a supportive word? I'd like to move on...

Your chart denotes that you are extremely bright and that you can do very well professionally. This is what you should be concentrating on for the next ten months to a year. By August of next year you will move back into a high cycle regarding love and relationships. I really enjoy your column and find your replies eloquent and very interesting. I've written in before, and haven't gotten a response, so I figured I'd try again. I am in a strange situation right now. I've had an eating disorder for the past 3 years of my life, and just recently, got put into the hospital due to complications from the severity of it. I know what I'm doing is wrong, and I'm trying to change, but it seems like every attempt is half-hearted at best. I've read in several different books that individuals born on my DOB (March 9, 1985, @ 1:45AM) show a pattern of substance abuse and health problems. The year just seems to be getting worse and worse and I was wondering what my chart holds for the upcoming school year. I think I put up a front and have a difficult time letting others get close, in fear that I will somehow lose control of everything in my life. Will my life and relationships with others improve at all? Thank you for your time.

You aren't a very strong Pisces only having your natal Sun in that sign. Your chart is predominantly Aries with your natal Mercury, Venus and Mars in that sign and Scorpio with your natal Saturn and Pluto in that sign. Your recent jaunt to the hospital does show up and it appears that if you don't use your Scorpio discipline to get back on track that you will end up in hospital again over the course of the next year. I urge you to take your health concerns seriously and stabilize your mental outlook before you start to worry about relationships. You have to learn to love yourself first. Your chart indicates that you have so much to work with but with your natal Neptune adversely aspecting your natal Mercury it is apparent that you are not always honest with yourself and this can lead to problems dealing with denial etc. However with your natal Mercury favorably positioned to your natal Jupiter it should help you to feel better about yourself. Problems with home, family or friends may occur if you don't take better care of yourself. It is obvious that you have people around you who care and who may be getting annoyed with the way you are handling your life. You are bright, creative and could help others with similar problems. You will probably be more attracted to people or partners who are older or younger and possibly at this stage of your life you aren't really meeting a wide enough variety of people. It is important for you to get focused and to keep active as well as to get your eating disorder sorted out once and for all. You are the master of your own destiny and no one else can make the adjustments for you. I believe that you have what it takes to change your life but the most difficult part is taking the first step. If you don't get started your educational pursuits will suffer over the course of the next couple of years, however if you can manage to pull things together you have the potential to do quite well. My sun sign is in Cancer, I was born July 7, 1979, at 12:15 AM, and I've read enough on astrology to know that I should be compatible with both Virgo and Pisces. My past two relationships were with each, and although lengthy, they proved difficult.I think it may have something to do with my Aries rising. I'm afraid the aggressive nature so common in the ram is a bit intimidating, especially when the aggressor is female. My last fling was with an Aries male, and although at first there were sparks, it quickly diminished. I realize that other aspects affect astrological matchmaking, but I'd like to get your opinion on the matter. What male sign can handle both the Aries stubbornness, and the crab's ultra-sensitivity? My moon is in Sagittarius.

Actually in your particular case the Sun sign match up doesn't work all that well. Normally you should get along well with both Virgo and Scorpio. However, the sign Scorpio falls in an area of your chart that deals with dead end projects so it's unlikely to work. To add to this your natal Jupiter and Mercury are in the sign Leo adversely aspected to the sign Scorpio. The sign Virgo falls in an area that deals with work not personal matters such as relationships plus you have your natal Mars in Gemini and your natal Neptune in Sagittarius and that would clearly play havoc with a strong Virgo. Having your natal Sun in the 4th house adversely aspected to your natal Pluto in the 7th leads me to believe that you will have difficulty with relationships. Now that doesn't mean that you can't have a happy union. Especially with your natal Moon, Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury well aspected to the Pluto in your 7th but it does mean that you will have to choose your partner wisely and realize that relationships don't just happen, they require work, dedication, devotion and perseverance. You match up well to those born under the signs, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Aquarius. I suggest that you always run a comparison before you decide to get serious and intimate with someone. Although a person can be born under one of these signs it does not mean that they will have a lot of their natal planets in that sign and this could result in difficulties once again.
