I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Hi, it is an honor to write to you. I receive hope from your site when I'm in need of help. The reason I am writing to you Eugenia is that this year, a lot of bad things have happened to me... My best friend committed suicide and I am having difficulty getting over the shock. This was only 3 months ago...My mind is so dizzy. I need to forget everything and face the reality but I don't know whether I'm too weak.
I love a guy. I have known him since I was young. We were friends in the beginning and became lovers later. There is a misunderstanding between him and me. As a result, he left me. I need to forget him but it is not easy to do so. Every day is a long day full of pains. Eugenia, Can you give me a supportive word? I'd like to move on...

Your chart denotes that you are extremely bright and that you can do very well professionally. This is what you should be concentrating on for the next ten months to a year. Over the past 4 years or so my life has been going in a downward spiral. I lost my father; my wife (through divorce) and I don't see my daughter. I lost my job as a software engineer. I know, like most, that you take the rough with the smooth in life. Now I'm at a stage where I feel completely lost and without direction. My finances have hit rock bottom. This is in stark contrast to about 12 years ago when life was almost great! Over recent years it seems that whatever I do just doesn't work. My question is will my life ever improve? Any help or guidance you can offer will be appreciated. I was born June 18, 1969 at 6 am.

Several planets have added to your down spiral the past eight years and although these transits in your chart aren't completely gone things do appear to be getting better. Part of the problem the past four years is that transiting Saturn has been passing through an area of your chart that can cause major depression and if your state of mind is bad because of this you will in turn attract negativity. This will lift off towards the end of the summer when you should start to feel some relief, but that doesn't mean that everything will turn around instantly. It will take work, effort and time on your part to make the difference. You appear to be lonely and this has also contributed to your depression. Trying to get involved with someone the past several years would have been difficult. With your natal Venus being adversely aspected by transiting Neptune sorrow within relationships was likely, not to mention the confusion you must have been experiencing. This is now lifting off and by the fall you will be in a much better position to meet someone who will be good for you and help to brighten your life. For the past 3 years, I have been under almost unbearable stress. During this time, my husband committed suicide and left me with astronomical debts; 6 mos. later my mother who has dementia came to live with me; I have dealt with serious problems with my children and am trying to make a go of my husband's business that was near bankrupt at the time of his death. I am almost to the BREAKING POINT! Will there be any relief from these pressures? Can I look forward to a brighter future? I was born April 23, 1947, at 5:20 PM.

You do have plenty on your plate but you also show great strength, wisdom and courage and I know you will make it through. I do believe that the absolute worst is over but there is still plenty of hard work to do. The area of your chart that deals with work and money is coming into a higher cycle over the next two years and you should be able to make headway in that regard. Also opportunities to learn, travel and to sign legal contracts will be present somewhat over the next few months however if these do not go manifest in full it will come to pass next year. Your children will continue to challenge you somewhat but they are unique and need to follow their own paths. As for your mother you will have to consider alternatives regarding institutions. There is only so much that you can do and at this point you must put yourself and your children first. You did not submit your mother or your children's birth data so I can not give you more information regarding them. I do feel however that if you are willing to work hard this year you will see results throughout 2001.
