Article: An Imminent Turning Point

Dear Eugenia:

I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

Dear M.

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

Dear Eugenia,

I have written once with no response I know you are a very busy person and God bless you but I need your help if you can. About four years ago I was working for this accounting firm and one day I saw a new co-worker and I fell hard I mean the moon and stars the WORKS!! remind you I'm a married woman but I couldn't stop thinking about him and at the time I was going through some difficult times in my marriage. Me and this guy flirted a lot but didn't take it any further but I was the one who ended up hurt and confused because I had strong feelings for him. I just want to know why did this happen to me because at the time I wasn't looking for this and after all this time I still have him on my mind. I was born November 5, 1963 at 9:45 a.m. He was born on March 15, 1963 time unknown and my husband was born on October 12, 1966 time unknown. I want to know was this a silly infatuation or was I in love with this man. I appreciate any answer you can give me.

It is obvious why you were attracted to your Pisces friend and why your marriage wasn't doing too well. You and your husband didn't have a bad comparison however it did lack substance. It is almost as if you just have nothing in common putting a strain on the relationship. The comparison with your Pisces friend connected on a lot more levels however there was also a major sign of sorrow and this is usually an indication that it won't work or that it will be hurtful. Your chart indicates that you have been going through your own turmoil that has resulted in some depression and anxiety at work as well as with your fellow co-workers. You have also been overreacting where your relationships are concerned resulting in your most recent infatuation. You are in a high cycle regarding love and secret affairs and will continue to be on and off over this next year. I suggest that you tread carefully. It is never wise to start a relationship if you are still attached to someone else. Your marriage is coming into a make it or break it period and it will be important that you reevaluate what you really want out of life. Your comparison with your husband although it lacks on some levels is workable if you communicate and find some common ground. It won't be the most passionate or exciting but it can work. The relationship with your Pisces will probably bring you more sorrow but it will be more exciting and volatile. You are walking a fine line, if you find yourself pursuing your Pisces once again or you discover that you are becoming infatuated with other men as well you should get some counseling that will help you sort through your problems.

Hi Eugenia

I met a very special person (February 4, 1969) 4 years ago after having met her at work. Once we talked, we realized we had a lot in common between us and it was amazing how closely the pattern of each of our lives seemed so much alike from our childhood to the present. We knew from the beginning that we could be very good for each other and therefore, we became very close friends almost instantly as though we had known each other all of our lives. I discovered that I could open up to her, like no other person in my life, and tell some of my most intimate feelings and hidden fears that I had carried inside all of my life as she did with me. Ironically, I have always seemed to have the problem of letting myself get too close to people even though I have many friends, they are not intimate friends. As we became closer throughout the 4 years, I have felt myself becoming very scared of getting too close, being hurt and even left behind, without reason, so I in turn distanced myself from her more and more without an explanation. She became less interested in our friendship and it began to unravel for both of us due to the stress of it all. Since December of last year, we have not spoken at all and it has really been a very devastating experience for me. It has changed me as a person in so many ways. I wish very much that I could rekindle our friendship that I miss dearly, but I don't know what would be the right words to say or if we would be better to put this behind and both move on with our lives apart. I believe that friendship is the operative word here. The comparison showed nothing more than that. It also revealed that there certainly is some mistrust, disillusionment or possible deception as well. Now that could have to do with the fact that you didn't even give her an explanation when you backed away. I fell that you have two choices and they are to move on and prepare to meet someone else who matches up to you much better physically and mentally or phone her up, be honest about your feelings and ask to resume the friendship. When I say friendship I mean just that. I believe that anything more would lead to trouble. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. If she isn't interested at least you'll know and can move on. You tend to match up to those born under the signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Aquarius (she is not a very strong Aquarius). It is apparent that you do much better with people who are much older or much younger than yourself. You will be in a high cycle regarding love next year so don't waste too much of your time trying to turn what you have with your Aquarian friend into anything more than a friendship at this point.
