I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

There is so much going on in my life that I don't know where to start. I can not believe that I have chosen to write this letter, but I guess I am hoping for confirmation that I am correct. My life has never felt more confused and not my own then it does right now. I want to focus my attention on my education and let go of all the other things in my life that I feel are holding me back. I am being pulled in all different directions. I am trying to fight the distractions and need to find a way to balance my life in order for me to achieve the things I want (have) to achieve on this earth. I have been searching for a counselor that can shed some light and provide the reassurance of love. I have only encountered counselors with no energy resembling that love.
I feel as if the only way I can accomplish my goals is to have some solace. I feel like I need to take a break from the energy I create and turn into myself so that I may become more confident in my energy and use it for what it is intended. I am ready to use it for whatever purposes are intended, but I do not know which way to go to achieve this goal.
I am looking for someone who understands, and someone who will be able to make me understand. I think the person who is really able to understand me will be able to communicate their energy to me. I don't need anyone to tell me how to run my life; I would just like confirmation that I'm on the right path. I was born on June 21, 1961, at 12 AM.

You are on the path that you have to follow right now and even if it doesn't necessarily take you where you think you want to go much will be gained from the experiences and challenges you encounter. It is apparent that there are some issues that have arisen over the course of the past year and a half that have left you questioning what is right for you. From what I can establish by your chart in order to make the most of your transits you should be resolving issues concerning a parent or close friend. Difficulties in areas that deal with communication and secrets have clouded the perspective of yourself as well as of others. Many changes are apparent regarding your home and family and these can be favorable if you follow your heart and do what's best for you this time. The educational area of your chart has been and still is being negatively transited and this can cause problems when it comes to accomplishing your goals. This problem is lifting this month and although you may continue to have some issues with faculty or your educational choices you should find it easier to push ahead. You are very hard on yourself you know and it's time you cut yourself a little slack. Rome wasn't built in a day; you will accomplish your goals. You have the determination, stamina and dedication that will enable you to reach the success that you are looking for.

I wish your business' success. While I have been admiring Eugenia Last and wishing one day I could see her, I came across the article about launching the Korean astrology site. I registered and I have been using the service well in real life. And I had a chance to really meet Eugenia. I would like to thank again the astroeast.com manager and other staff for preparing the event. My question for Eugenia is this. I am changing jobs. I was born April 28, 1969, 7:30-8:30pm. I am working in an association. I'd like to quit my job as soon as possible and work in an insurance company. You told me at the forum that I could change my job between now and next Feb, but I am thinking of changing my job as soon as possible. I'd like to know when is the best date and whether I can succeed financially or not. My wife is a vet and she is asking me to be her partner. (Then, the main customers will be vets) My wife's birthday is May 17, 1971, 1:00-2:00 PM. I am looking forward to your reply. I wish I could see you again in next February when you return to Seoul. You should try to make your move in the next four weeks if possible however if it isn't you still have opportunities between now and April 21, 2001. Regarding joining your wife's business I'm not sure that working with your wife would be the best situation for you. Although your comparison is quite good I believe that you both think very differently and this could create a problem. The work and money area of her chart does look prosperous over the course of the next couple of years however where partnerships are concerned it doesn't appear to be as favorable for either one of you. If you were to start your own business during the last quarter of next year and incorporate what you do into being a consultant to your wife's business, that might work. I believe that you should make your jump into another company soon. One that you feel will enable you to make money and will also help you learn the skills you require in order to eventually start your own consulting business on the side late next year or the first half of the year 2002.
