Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I've been dating/seeing three women. I've been intimately with only one (I'll call her #3) of them and that is basically all I wanted from her. When I decided in my mind to stop having relations with her and pursue a serious relationship with #2 #3 tells me she is pregnant. We've had protected sex every time (at least 8 occasions) except for a few minutes on one occasion. #3 tells me she hasn't been w/ anyone else other than me. I've made mistakes and bad choices in my 30 years to last me a lifetime. I don't want to bring a child into this world under these circumstances. I wanted to married and have a planned pregnancy w/ my wife. I don't plan on pursuing a serious relation w/ #3 and I'm not going to sell myself short by doing so. #3 took a home pregnancy test in my presence, but I don't know if this child is mine or not. Her D.O.B. is 5/14/79. Please help Eugenia, thank you :)

This is truly an unfortunate set of circumstances to be in, even more so because you actually match up quite nicely to this woman astrologically. I feel you owe it to yourself as well as to her to be completely honest and tell her that your intentions are to not marry her or to be involved in this child's life should she decide to have the baby. This may sound cruel but there are enough youngsters already living in an unhappy environment because of the stupidity of parents who choose to not get along or shouldn't be together for one reason or another. Although the ideal situation is always to have two loving parents it is still better to have one loving parent instead of two who are not in love or care about one another. I would need to know when she became pregnant in order to determine whether or not you are the father but even that information can be misleading. Your chart indicates that you probably are however if she should decide to keep the baby you should probably have a DNA test done. You should have submitted candidate #2 so that I could have determined whether or not you even match up to her as well as you do to #3. As I mentioned already you do match up to #3 quite well and it is unfortunate that you used this girl for sexual reasons. I feel that she really does believe that you are the one for her.

Dear Eugenia,
I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life. You may discover that joining forces with someone regarding your business may be a prosperous journey as well.
