I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I wrote to you once before, but it appears my letter was overlooked. I'm beginning to feel a little stressed over a situation that appears to be inevitable in my love life. I'm a Sagittarius, born December 2, 1961 at 9:45 p.m. A few years ago I met a wonderful man at work. He's a Gemini; born June 2, 1960 (I'm not sure of the time). I have a wonderful connection with this man--when we talk we're so connected that we finish each other's sentences. I also feel a strong connection in that I can feel his energy around me when he's not there. I've never felt this way with anyone before---not even my ex-husband. He was going through his divorce about the same time I was (shortly after we met), and we've been friends since then. I would like a romantic relationship with him, and I feel he wants one with me too but he seems to take two steps forward and then hold back. I can only assume this is because he's cautious of being hurt again. He won't reveal the reason to me. About six weeks ago, I met another man (Scorpio, born November 9, 1964, I don't know the time). We've talked a lot on the phone and started to date. I don't feel the same attraction with the Scorpio that I do with the Gemini, but the Scorpio is more "forward" in his approach which I really like. He also is not afraid to talk about his feelings, which I think is very important. I like him a lot--he's very sweet, considerate, intelligent and fun. I intend to keep dating the Scorpio. Can you tell me if the Gemini will ever step forward the way I've always hoped he would?I dread making choices between men, but I can almost see how this will play out. I'll start getting involved with the Scorpio and the Gemini will finally step forward and I'll feel guilty and torn. You are still going through a very unstable period where relationships are concerned. To try to make a decision at this time would probably end in a negative spin. Both comparisons were just adequate. I think that you can do much better. I get the feeling that you don't like to be single, that you truly want someone to love when really you'd be best to go it alone for at least a little longer. Opportunities to make changes in your home environment will be present until the middle of next year and you should be focusing on doing just that. Build your own base and do the things that you like to do. It's time to enjoy your freedom. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. You will be in a much higher cycle regarding love and romance in 2002. For now you should be enjoying the company of friends and discovering whom you are and what you want in a partner. Don't jump into a new relationship too fast and for the wrong reason.

Please clarify why some astrologers claim Taurus and Scorpio are not compatible at all, while others will claim that this relationship will either be "all" good or "all bad. I am a Taurus born May 3 1948 at 12 AM and he is Scorpio. We are planning on living together soon. Being I love him dearly, I want us to have the happiness we were denied in our previous marriage to other partners and want to make this work for us. For some reason, I feel I will have to put more effort into this relationship than he will, and I don't mind as long as this union is permanent, honest, loving, and we can share our dreams and future together. Considering the fact that you did not submit your Scorpio's birth data I can't tell you much about your connection with one another and I suggest that you let the compatibility feature on my web site do that for you. I can however tell you that your chart indicates that you fall in love quickly and you do make mistakes where love is concerned. With what your chart is going through currently I would be cautious because you are extremely changeable right now. In other words you may not feel the same way two years from now therefore if it isn't important to get married I would suggest that you keep your finances and other important issues separate for the time being. At your age living together with the right legal documentation is probably your best bet. I can understand your attraction to the sign Scorpio with your natal Moon being in Pisces but your Venus is in Gemini conjunct your natal Uranus therefore I have to wonder if your Scorpio partner has any Sagittarius in his chart. You are obviously quite a catch so don't sell yourself short or think that you have to do more work than he does. Partnership is a shared investment, if it becomes one-sided it usually doesn't work.
