I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I am in a dilemma right now my best friend has gotten into some trouble with the law, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is going through a tough time being locked up, we have been the best of friends for over 3 years and in the beginning of our friendship we started out in a romantic relationship. Well a lot happened and I guess you could say it wasn't our time, but we continued to develop a strong friendship bond which nothing could destroy, and since he has been locked up I have been to visit him twice. His charge is nothing really major so he won't be in jail long but over the last 16 days in jail he said that his eyes have opened up to so much and he sees things so clearly. He has seen his faults and he is going to change he says that I am all he thinks about and he knows that I am really the only one that has always been there for him and I have stood by him through everything. He asks me if I am going to wait for him. He keeps making remarks about me, him and us, and getting back what we once had. He knows how strongly I feel for him and that I would do anything for him. I would give anything to have back what we once had. My question is should I take him and everything he has said seriously or should I just take it as "Jail talk"

You didn't submit your best friends birth data so I really can't tell you where he's coming from but I do know by your chart that this is not the best time for relationships. That confusion is definitely in an area of your chart that deals with your personal life. You are coming into your Saturn return next year and this will be a period in your life that you reevaluate what you have done up until this point. It is a time of change, turning things around, getting ready to move into your next stage of life. You have time right now to wait and see how sincere your friend is but don't fool yourself. He is lonely and although he means what he is saying right now it may be a different story when he gets out of jail. Protect your heart and wait and see. There is nothing wrong with friendship for the time being. After all you will build a much stronger relationship if you are friends first. Stand by him as a friend for now and run a comparison on my site to see how well you match up to him and also to check out his personal profile. If you see much deception or ability to smooth talk in his profile you will know that he is just giving you jail talk. I was born in Boston, MA at 3:06am on March 6, 1975. My career is going no where. I keep running into dead ends. Every time I find a job I end up wanting to quit within 1-4 months. You can imagine what my resume looks like. I do try to commit, but always find the situation unbearable. Right now, I'm at 4 months and barely hanging on. I always want to quit because of office politics. I once heard someone say "don't be a part of office politics, but do be aware it." "mind your own business, and do your work." I have done both of these. And at every job I am constantly the "butt" of office gossip. I am aware that for me to be quiet and do my work will seem threatening to some. But why am I treated so meanly even if I am nice to everyone? I have had co-workers ruin my projects or take credit for my work. I have had plenty say negative untrue things about me and people actually believe them! Talking to managers doesn't work either. I've tried and have been put down by them or simply laughed at or ignored. I've even been fired for not being able to get along with a co-worker even though it was the co-worker who did all the "mean things". And at my current job, I am afraid this may happen again. I feel like I get the brunt of it more than anyone else. And I am sure I am not being paranoid or overly sensitive. I am professional and mature as possible and as I can be. So what's wrong with me? I am seeking therapy, however, what do you see in all this? Please tell me anything you can. Please help me. I am deeply worried, concerned, & afraid for my work/career situations. Your sensitivity regarding work and money is and has been a little out of control over the course of the past couple of years and although you are not quite over the hump as of yet relief is on the way. Your chart indicates that you should be working in a field that is a little unusual, that you need to be creative, nurturing and inventive. The area of your chart that deals with higher education is in a high cycle for the next few months and that means that an apprenticeship or picking up skills that could help you change your vocation may be the answer. You might want to consider starting your own business as well. You need to be doing something that you feel is going to give you something back at some point. Over the course of the past two years you also had transiting Neptune hitting your chart in such a way that it was causing deception, disillusionment and misunderstandings with colleagues and employers. Take three steps back and decide what it is you want to do and start to move in that direction. It's never to late to make a career change especially if it will lead to doing something that you can enjoy.
