I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

How come every time I meet someone, it always has a bad ending...I have been seeing a lot of different people up until now, but it is always me who gets hurt, not me hurting others...And a lot of them were not very nice to me. I was always nice to them...maybe that's why everything has always gone this way.. Now it is not easy to see someone again... Thus, I'm afraid of hanging out with a guy even though he is nice...I'm afraid of the endings being bad...Why is this? When can I meet the right person? I was born on Oct 27, 1978, at 5:30-6:00 PM...Is this too common story?

I'm not surprised that you have experienced some difficult love situations over the past several years considering your chart has and does show confusion, deception and having trouble choosing the right partners. This will continue to plague you a while longer however that doesn't mean that you can't go out and meet potential partners. My suggestion is that you only look for friendship at first and that you develop your relationship with the next partner slowly. There is much to be said about being friends before you become lovers. As we move into the final quarter of next year and throughout 2002 you will be in a high cycle for love, romance and marriage and this is when you can move toward becoming more than just friends. What this means is that between now and that time you should go out socially with friends, meet new people and discover what qualities you really want your life long partner to have. First of all thanks for taking the time to read my letter, but here goes my question it's pretty short and simple. I just found out about Saturn Return, my life has been very much upside down since June 2000, I'm working so hard to make the necessary changes and create a whole new life that'll work for me, but I'm curious to know when this whole Saturn Return will pass & things will start going my way without everything being such a pain in the butt. Your Saturn return hasn't hit you yet however with transiting Saturn moving through your first house it probably has already caused depression, questioning, difficulties within your personal life etc. Your actual Saturn return will be in affect between May 23, 2001 until July 1, 2001, coming back to haunt you between January 7, 2002 until March 12, 2002. Now before you freak out on me please read on. Saturn is a great disciplinarian. Your Saturn return is a period of reevaluation, change and a turning point in your life that should bring about good results if you do what you are supposed to do. If you settle and give up you can not expect to accomplish your dreams however if you reevaluate and make the necessary changes you will succeed. This is a pivotal point in your life that will help you grow, mature and turn your future into what you always wanted it to be. Up until this point it isn't likely that you had the experience, wisdom or know-how to do so. This is a time that can be extremely good if you are focused, determined and willing to put in the effort required to reach your goals.
