I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I often visit your site and get advice...However, I have one question, hoping that you would help me to clarify. It's about my sign. I was born on Nov 22, 1982, at 10:11 pm. However, I'm not sure my horoscope sign is Scorpio or Sagittarius. In different magazines, some classify as Scorpio, some as Sagittarius. Thus, I'm checking both of them. Of course, in AstroEast, it comes out as Sagittarius. Can you tell me which one and why? Then, I can tell people when they ask me what my sign is. I wish to hear from you soon and I will continue to visit your site often like before.

Your sign is most definitely Sagittarius. Not only do you have your natal Sun placed in that sign you also have your natal Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Neptune in Sagittarius. Regarding your Scorpio influence you only have your natal Jupiter in that sign therefore you can safely say that you are a full fledge Sagittarius when someone asks. In order to figure out what sign a person is there birth time must be accurate. When born around the time that the Sun moves from one constellation to another only the time of day can determine whether that person will be born under one sign or the other, in your case there is no contest, it is definitely Sagittarius. The reason that it can be very confusing is that from year to year the Sun may move into the next constellation a day ahead or a day behind the set dates that are used in the daily horoscopes. When I started writing daily columns I would use the actual date in the paper that the Sun changed signs but many readers complained because as far as they were concerned the set dates were the only ones to consider. Unfortunately most people born on the cusp will never know for sure unless like yourself you have your chart calculated out to the exact time. This is easy to do by using my www.astroadvice.com or www.AstroEast.com web site. By the way you came very close to having a Stellium in your chart, (A grouping of planets in one area of the zodiac. Multiple conjunctions. A collection of five planets or more in a close proximity to one another.) you have four planets conjunct in Sagittarius, the fifth is not.

First of all I would like to say thank you. Astro Advice has gotten me through some real bad times. Your insight into the problems in life based on sound scientific principles has helped me weather some real stormy situations, recently. Yet I still have some unanswered questions concerning my relationship. My wife was born on April 1954; I am not sure what time. I was born on March 8 1949, at 3:43 a.m. I know that we have some real problems understanding each other's philosophies some times, and that some times I don't understand how to be sensitive to her emotionally and vice versa. Why is this? She is a Taurus and I am a Pisces, shouldn't we get along a lot better. By the way we have been married 21 years, so all is not lost. What I want to know is, I mean can you tell me where our weak points are and can these problems be fixed or because she has her Saturn in Gemini and I have my Saturn in Virgo we can never get closer, doomed to live out our lives in this intolerable state of affairs. Please help me find an answer in astrological terms, because I am sort of disillusioned by the information that I find in the "ROMANCE COMPATABILITY" section of "ASTRO ADVICE". Almost everyday it tells me that I should seriously consider the why I am in this relationship. The "LOVE THERMOMETER" states that I love my wife 83% and she only loves me 72% please clarify. Wish you thought to give me your wife's complete birth data. It's kind of hard to give you a well-rounded answer with only half the equation. Based on your chart however I can tell you this. You have been going through personal changes regarding love, partnerships, your home environment and your position in society. Now you might say, not really and that's where your wife's data would have helped me to clarify what is at the route of the problem. Often I find that when these types of transits are going through someone chart they don't always see things clearly. In other words, your wife may not be content and she may feel as if she is talking to a brick wall. Fact of the matter is that she may be the one who should be reevaluating the relationship if you haven't been giving her what she needs emotionally. In your case however, I doubt that is the case. I feel that the percentages that the love thermometer indicates the problem is probably more an issue that relates more to remembering the reason you and your wife fell in love with one another in the first place and trying to rekindle the flame that once burnt so passionately.
