Article: An Imminent Turning Point

Dear Eugenia:

I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

Article: A Second Opinion

Dear Eugenia,

I never believed in love at first sight before....nor the "fireworks" during a first kiss...and I always thought it ridiculous when I heard people say they just couldn't live without "so-and-so". But, I have experienced these undeniable feelings in the past year. A much older gentleman has, quite literally, STOLEN MY HEART. I have never been so incapable of walking away from someone in my entire life. I never want to do without him...he's all I want...and all I need.

In the beginning he fell in love with me first (and told me so) and, I soon followed. I am 37 and he is 58. But, I don't think either of us even notices the age difference, because we "connect" so naturally. Some of the problems we've had are: 1.) He's a Christian and I'm an atheist. 2.)He has a problem trusting women...he has unrealistic expectations concerning honesty (he believes all women are liars). 3.) He's sometimes manipulative (which I find challenging). 4.) He refuses to give me any kind of a commitment. 5.) A friend of mine that has studied astrology for 35 years warned me of his dangerous temper, and great need to control...this advice from her has caused my imagination to work over-time and has caused some real problems between he and I...I've had trouble trusting him...and that bothers him...and me. We've broken up a couple of times, and then always find our way back to each other. This astrologer friend of mine is my ex-boyfriend's mother, and I have always suspected she is "saving" me for her son when the "time" is right for us to get together again. But, I have no proof.

My birth info: 2-5-64, 7:37pm, His birth info: 2-7-43, 6:05pm, The older gentleman and I met for the first time somewhere between April 3 and April 13, 2000 (last year). He was a potential customer of mine. I was calling on his business (we were instantly inseparable...all we wanted to do was talk to one another....we still do). My question is: Can you go back and see during those dates if either of us were suppose to meet our "soul mates"?

I need to know this. I am raising two teenagers on my own and don't want to waste my time with a man that is just using me. I'd like to know if he really loves me, if I can trust him, and if we have a future together or not. I do not believe that the astrologer giving you the information is too far off the mark. Your comparison with this man was not all that great. I believe that there is some deception involved in your connection. You have recently been going through a rough period regarding relationships and this could be the reason for the problems that you are experiencing with him however I do believe that there is more to it. He is controlling at an emotional level and I do not believe that you are one to be controlled with your strong Aquarius personality however with your Venus in Pisces and the type of transits that you are experiencing I believe that you are in what I call a messiah mood meaning that in some way part of the attraction is feeling vulnerable and out of control. I do believe that you will continue on with him until you can't take it any more I believe that you will be in a high cycle for love or past lovers coming back into your life next year and I hope that you have the wherewithal to walk away from this connection by that time so that you might actually hook up with someone who could be considered your soul mate.

Article: A Broken Heart Seeks Advice

Hi there Eugenia,

My birth date is July 15, 1979, at 3:15 PM. I've been involved in a gay relationship with another guy (Birth date: 03 June 1977 05:15 PM) for the last 3 months. When we started our relationship he was living with his ex and he said it was a "living arrangement"...I believed him. Anyway during our relationship he would rarely visit me (we stay in different cities) and behave oddly if I ran into him in a public place with his ex around. Eventually he came clean with me (his friends forced him to tell the truth) and it turned out that he'd been having a relationship with the "ex" at the same time as me, and recently started seeing yet another guy. After all of this and around 2 weeks of deciding what to do, I called him and we broke it off. Leaving me very hurt and confused...He still says that he loves me and everything we had was real, but I'm at a loss to describe the pain this has caused me. Especially since him and the new guy are now fully in a relationship. I'd really like some advice on this situation, and if I should be foolish enough to still hope that one day we will get back together...

You met your messiah, in other words you met someone who captured your heart and you had no power to pry yourself from him. The comparison was so powerful between you. This Gemini is just as bad for you as he is good. You can't however allow yourself to be played with this way. It isn't good for your self-esteem. You are too proud to forgive and you shouldn't forget. Playing sexual games can be dangerous and it's obvious that your Gemini friend doesn't care enough about any of his partners to be open and honest about his goings on. Unfortunately he probably will slip in and out of your life until you put a stop to it. I strongly suggest that you put up your guard and move on. You will be coming into a transit over the summer as well as during the first half of next year that does indicate that people from your past will want back into your life. You must remember that he will not change. He is not a lover who can be true to one person, let alone himself. If you go with him you will be risking your emotional and your physical well-being. During this transit, it can also mean that you will have some new people come into your life. However, if someone is preoccupying your life you aren't likely to have the opportunity to start a new relationship. Please consider making yourself a list of all the reasons why this person hurt you, and why you should not be together and carry it with you.
