For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I am very involved in a long distance relationship. We talk every day, but, of course, see each other infrequently. We have 3 visits of 2 weeks each planned for this year.?We have started to think about relocating to be together. The question is...which one of us moves?? Also, when should the move be planned for?? We are both in the same business and would work together too, although his business is more established than mine, so it would be easier for me to work into his.? But my family is here, and I love where I live.? Only love could make me leave it.? One more wrinkle...he is recently separated, and I feel he needs some time on his own...to be single...before making a long term commitment. With that in mind, I do fear the thoughts of losing him. My question for you Eugenia is this:? does it make sense for me to think about planning for a future of living and working with this man? Or should I just enjoy what we have now, knowing that it is short term?
I really appreciate any insight you can give me in this situation.? Dealing with a long distance relationship can be wonderful....or dreadful.? I don?t have a concern with the age difference however there was one problem that the astrological comparison did reveal. His natal Sun is opposite your natal Neptune and this can cause some deception or difficulties in an area of his chart that deals with communication and travel or the distance that you have between you. In your chart it deals with a work area which could eventually create problems because you are in the same vocation or work for the same company. I do not however feel that this is something that should stop you from pursuing you intention to eventually make a move to be together. His chart indicates that he is more inclined to make a short distance move over the next year. In other words he buys a house and moves from where he is living now to a nearby neighborhood. In your case the move appears to be a distant move from one state or province to another over the upcoming year.
There are no guarantees when it comes to love and even though your comparison is good a relationship takes work. If you feel that you will miss your friends and family you may want to consider your option to move very slowly with this relationship. Where he resides it is certainly not the same climate physically or mentally and the adjustment will be difficult. I suggest that you spend as much time visiting him as possible to get a better feel for the area. He falls in an area of your chart that deals with relationships which is good and you fall in the offshoot of that area in his chart which also brings favorable results. My only concern is that you are very family oriented and it will be difficult for you to leave the people you love behind should you make the move. If he were to make the move to your local it would have to be in the fall of 2005. Before that time would probably be a mistake or lead to some problems. If you feel that you want to take that amount of time before you are together I would suggest that you do so.

Dear Eugenia:
My birth date is July 1, 1949 1:00 am, my husband is May 18, 1946.
I am going through a very emotional time in my life. My mother (to whom I was very close died in April) which caused a major family fallout which resulted in a lot of our family not talking to each other and breaking ties completely. Prior to and during this time I feel that my marriage has come to an end. We have been married for 33 years and have been drifting apart for some time. We have very little communication what so ever, and any that we have is mostly anger and aggression. I also feel that there has been someone else in my husband's life. I am confused as to why he doesn't just walk away from the marriage and yet if I had to confront him I have learned from past experiences that he would just lie anyway so I don't see the point, as he is very abusive verbally. My biggest problem in leaving the marriage is financial security, as I do not have the confidence that I could survive on my own. (My childhood was very poor and insecure and I am sure this has a lot to do with my current insecurities especially financial) I have gained a lot of weight with the stress of everything going on in my life which does not help my self esteem and my work is suffering as I cannot concentrate on things at work. I cannot see a future for myself on my own yet my health is suffering daily from staying in this relationship as I cannot understand why I have stayed in this emotional abusive situation for so long. Do you see a brighter future for me and some self-improvements that could help me have the confidence to walk away. And is there a possible suitable companion that could give me the loving caring relationship that I dream of is possible in this life. Can you please advise?

Life is like a lit match. It burns rapidly and then it's gone. For all the time that people waste in situations that are unbearable I have little sympathy. You are the master of your own will and destiny and its time for you to get a grip and move on. You will be in a better position next year to start that diet, join a fitness group, start swimming and so forth. For now you have to take care of business and that means call up your real estate agent if you own your home and force the issue to put it on the market. Split your assets down the middle and start to make plans for the future. Life is simple; it's people who make it complex. You've been clinging to something that is doing nothing but bringing you down. Where you should have been excelling professionally this year you've been vacillating about your personal life. You will have a positive cycle professionally between October and February and you should do whatever you can to focus on your job, career and advancement. If you work hard you will do just fine. During the last half of next year and the first half of 2002 you will be in a high cycle romantically. If you are still with your husband you will miss that opportunity. Your game plan should be focus on work and selling assets in order to split what you have together. Next get into shape during the spring and summer of next year followed by new friends and lovers. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius.
