I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.

This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Hi Eugenia

Although I have been out of the dating scene for some time, I'm ready to get back in. As has happened in the past, a much younger man has expressed an interest in me. I am quite attracted to him, but I found myself so wrapped up in uncertainty about his motives (I just couldn't believe he was interested in someone my age)that I overanalyzed the situation and ended up not even being able to be hospitable the one time we got together (at least in hindsight I think I wasn't). We do see each other for professional reasons quite regularly and I've managed, at least in that arena, to keep things light and friendly. Is it possible he is actually interested? Hi Eugenia

I am in my early forties, 2 children, married for 19years. For some reason I am in a very reflective state. I reflect on my past and become very depressed, I never had any career success, although I worked very hard, never made much money, however I continued my education, but I never got a "break" I was always past over, finally in my early thirties I became ill with MS and had to go on long term disability. So that was the final blow. I have come to terms with my situation and have gotten involved with the local MS Society as a Board member. I still yearn for some little professional success. Why can't I let go of the past and just relax and enjoy my children, and happy marriage? Will these feelings lift? I was born October 12, 1959, at 10:42 am.

What you are doing right now with the MS Society is important and I feel certain that someone you recently met through this organization will help you find your way where your profession is concerned. It is never too late and you are never incapable of achieving as long as you have the desire. You have just experienced your second half-life Saturn and this is why you have been so reflective. It is a period in your life that makes you reevaluate what you've done up to this point in your life and in turn it should help you realize whatever changes are necessary in order to make your life better. Your chart indicates that you have the spunk and desire to achieve and I believe that there is something very significant that you need to do. It will be something that will make a difference to other people. It can have to do with communications, creativity or your desire to help those who are experiencing similar disabilities. It's your spark, enthusiasm and need to achieve that will inspire others. Perhaps writing a book about your inner thoughts dealing with MS. Article: Ready for the Limelight?

Thanks....I am 44 in July.. been doing tile and marble work for 13 yrs. Come to the realization.. that I am over qualified for this town. (L.A.) This town just wants cheap labor.. I need to do something else...I think I'm funny and thinking of getting into comedy.... (stand up) If I put 13 yrs. into comedy.. I would be a millionaire by now! your input please!!...your help may save my future.....thanks again.

Hi Bill

I wish that you would have given me a few examples of your humor, I could use a good laugh. Your chart does indicate the ability to communicate skillfully as well as to write, entertain and work with your hands which is what you chose to do. I think that you should start off doing your standup part time and see where it leads. You are coming into a nice cycle that should be good for limelight, career and changing your direction. You are approaching your second half-life Saturn right now and that is why you are re-evaluating. If entertaining is what you wanted to do when you were in your early to mid teens I guess you are getting a second chance to take a stab at following that small voice within you. Don't let this transit pass without satisfying your obvious desire to do what you've always wanted to do.
