I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.

This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Hi Eugenia

Although I have been out of the dating scene for some time, I'm ready to get back in. As has happened in the past, a much younger man has expressed an interest in me. I am quite attracted to him, but I found myself so wrapped up in uncertainty about his motives (I just couldn't believe he was interested in someone my age)that I overanalyzed the situation and ended up not even being able to be hospitable the one time we got together (at least in hindsight I think I wasn't). We do see each other for professional reasons quite regularly and I've managed, at least in that arena, to keep things light and friendly. Is it possible he is actually interested? I'm afraid of looking like an old fool, but would really like to dump this attitude. I was born July 9, 1950 at 8:30 PM.

Without his birth data of the gentleman involved I can?t tell you how interested in you he is but I do know that you actually can do quite well with partners who are much older or much younger so chances are good that he wasn?t faking it. You will be coming into a high cycle beginning this fall that will remain with you for the better part of a year regarding love, romance and finding Mr. Right. It is apparent that you could easily meet this person through your work or it could be someone you?ve already met like your man in question. Your chart is looking good with regard to relationships however due to the planet Saturn transiting through the area of your chart that deals with relationships it has caused you to have this push pull attitude the past year and a half. That transit is moving off now so you should be able to deal with your demons and give any relationship you get into an honest and heartfelt chance. Your chart indicates that you are extremely hard to diagnose and this is why the doctors are having so much trouble finding out what's wrong. Trial and error will be required but you must not rely on one doctor's opinion. Although I do believe that you can and will get better I'm afraid that you will have to go through a couple of difficult years. You are headed into a period that indicates limitations, feeling fatigued and being run down. It will be important that you get your rest and that you have the doctor's check your heart for any defects that may have developed or that you may have been born with. Also the chest or breast area may show some signs of infection. You do tend to worry yourself sick and must be careful not to allow this to happen. Also problems with stomach may also occur and this could be an ulcer or colitis or similar disease set off once again by stress, anxiety and fear of becoming ill. Your chart is strong and I do believe that you will land on your feet and that whatever the doctors discover it will not be as bad as you think. Unfortunately the transit causing poor diagnosis will be in your chart until February 2006 so you may find yourself going through a lot between now and then. My suggestion is to work on stress management and if you are diagnosed with a stomach, chest or heart problem that you go to several specialists until you find the one who can put you on the right medication. One of the most difficult problems with this type of transit that you are going through is that quite often the wrong medication is what makes you sicker. The other area that the doctors should check out is that you may have an allergy to something around you or to a medication they prescribe. Know in your heart that your natal chart is good and that you should be able to get through this period so stop worrying.

Article: A Second Chance

Dear Eugenia,

I know I've met my soul mate, but we keep having conflicts that end with me not wanting to deal with him. He's a Taurus born May 4, 1971 and I'm a Cancer born June 25, 1962. Nine months ago he came back into my life after a 5-year separation, and I believed he wanted a second chance and that he truly loved me. His actions say otherwise when it comes to my feelings. I've gone out of my way, once again, to make sure he is happy, comfortable, and to give all the support he needs. He's done nothing for me and he makes me feel that he has taken advantage of me again and only cares about himself.

I've just recently asked him to leave, because he had hurt my feelings again and that was the last straw for me. I miss him desperately, but I don't know if it's my self-destructive behavior that won't completely let go! I don't want to go through this back and forth emotional roller coaster with him forever.
