Although I have been out of the dating scene for some time, I'm ready to get back in. As has happened in the past, a much younger man has expressed an interest in me. I am quite attracted to him, but I found myself so wrapped up in uncertainty about his motives (I just couldn't believe he was interested in someone my age)that I overanalyzed the situation and ended up not even being able to be hospitable the one time we got together (at least in hindsight I think I wasn't). Help! I need your advice. My life is a disaster, which actually is just a continuation of last year. My best childhood friend died suddenly from cancer in January. I have been out on disability since October of last year. My financial situation is dire. My employer made false accusations against me and has now stopped paying me. I know they have no intention of allowing me to return to work. I don't know how much more I can take.
I am a single mom and have to support my children, but I feel totally lost. Do you see anything positive occurring in my near future? Everywhere I turn for help or advice, I hit a brick wall. How much longer do I have to endure this gloomy situation? I'm usually a very lucky person. I don't understand what has happened during the past 10 months and I am at my wits end. I was born on 4/22/62 at 3:45am. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I'm sure you are busy replying letters. I will consider your advice carefully if my letter is answered. I have been going out with my boyfriend for 8 years. I was supposed to marry my boyfriend last year. But, I'm the one who suggested reconsidering our marriage. I am negative to marriage, that is, I was afraid that I might lose my freedom. His parents want us to get married soon. However, considering his conservative parents and my non-conservative parents, I think I will have to face some problems after we get married. Am I too selfish? I'm working in the computing machine area. I want to go abroad to continue my study and I want to do many other things. Thus, marriage is not my first priority.
My boyfriend is a conservative man. He wants to take a dominant position in our relationship. I have to do everything for him if I marry him. If there is an exit, I want to escape.
